Aristocrat: Blue in the Face

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (21 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Aristocrat Deck Rules:
1) Decks must contain 60 cards.
2) Decks can have up to 2 rares. Of the two rares, each one must be unique. In other words, a deck can't have two copies of the same rare.
3) Mythic rares are not allowed. Ever! Yes, that means no planeswalkers.
***EDIT: Has been pointed out to me, by s0rinmark0v, that there were 5 Planeswalkers that started out Rares, and were converted over to Mythical Rares:
Aristocrat Planeswalkers (Only allowed Planeswalkers in Aristocrat Format)
- Ajani Goldmane
- Jace Beleren
- Liliana Vess
- Chandra Nalaar
- Garruk Wildspeaker
4) Decks can also have up to 12 uncommons. Like the rares, the number of copies you can include of any particular uncommon is restricted. In this case, no more than three copies of any one uncommon are allowed.
5) The rest of your deck is composed of commons, with the restriction that only 4 copies of up to three particular commons are allowed, with the rest of the deck's commons being limited to no more than 3 per unique common.
6) Basic lands are used as normal, with no particular limit on copies.
7) Sideboards are allowed and encouraged, and may include up to 1 rare and 3 uncommons, duplicating perfectly the rarity distribution of a typical booster pack. Additionally, none of the cards in the sideboard can be copies of the cards in the main deck.
8) Sideboards are allowed to have 4 copies of up to two particular commons in the sideboard.

Scepter, nice. Kinda shocked more people don't use it. :)

Invoke Prejudice is new to me. Very cool card.

It was new to me too :)
Originally i was aiming for a devotion-based deck, but Master of waves is MR, so out for aristocrat...
Invoke Prejudice is (I think) the only 4 blue spell in all of mtg.

Isochron Scepter is such a cheese card. I don't use it in local meta as it tends to be unfun.

I do think this deck would be fun to play though. Lots of card draw is always rewarding

Dang .... why must all 4 mana spells with no colorless mana in their cost be so overpowered? I'm looking at you, phyrexian obliterator!

Seriously though ... nice deck. Maybe ... propoganda? To fit the theme of social offenses! :D

hahaha! true! Its not quite up to the inappropriate-ness of hooded figures with axes on a prejudice card, but the card is good! hmm... maybe in the azorius deck... which is tough.

Hmm ... methinks invoke prejudice wants to be somewhere .... if it were copied ..

Just wanted to say, off topic, I love the Thalakos Seer.
I never see anyone play it.
Cards that I love, that no one plays...it makes me doubt myself and my card choices...but then someone/a deck like this comes around, and I say, "See, Jessie, you knew that Seer was a good card!"

Hey Jessie ... I think invoke prejudice wants to be in your obstacles to enlightenment deck. :)

Propaganda is my love, when it concerns to stuff like Prejudice, but it is a new card to me!
You are right, regardless, copying it would be brutal to your opponent!

Jessie, you are so right about Thalakos Seer! That card is great, especially in concert with Ninja of the Deep Hours!
I have a deck I play in real life that uses that combo. Just a fun means of card draw. Here's the link to Shinza's Ninjas. I should update it a little.

Propaganda looks like a blue version of a white enchantment from Kamigawa....Ghostly Prison maybe? Name escapes me.

Good card! Run both in Azorius deck and lock it down.

Yes, more correctly, the Prison card is a copy of Propaganda. :)
Propaganda has been around forever.

Yep, lock down agreed. :)
Or copy them as HokeyPokey said.

Right you are! My misutterance. Together with some unblockables, they could be dangerous.

Or soul crushing. Just another point of view ...

so true!
I know as an academic pursuit some of these decks are clever and effective, but for actual gameplay against friends, I find lockdown combos somehow unsporting.

Lol, well said Shinza.
Decks lock lockdown are like this:
Fun to play with.
Awful to play against.

I completely agree, but after I've successfully played the lockdown once or twice, it becomes awful to play with too. Certain cards and certain concepts are just...unfun.

I had a stasis deck once with Birds of Paradise (w Instill Energy), Stasis, and critters w/ vigilance (before the term existed. Lockdown. I'll recreate it to show you. Point is , it was fun to see if so many moving parts could work.

A logic puzzle or a "Is it possible?"

Absolutely dreadful for an evening's entertainment because if it worked the laughter died. If it didn't work, the laughter never started.

Jessie, here is the basic idea. There were permutations and variation, but this is the gist.

That's why I love Lasav, Jace's Phantasm, and Dimir Cutpurse. Mill as a means to an end, and it's pretty fun.
