Deck discussion for T2 Elves?

Day of Judgment says hello. Seriously, no spells other than Elves and Coat of Arms? Oh, let's not forget the nice little black ROE card, Consume the Meek. That card will completely annihilate your forces, and there's nothing you can do. No naturalizes, No vines of vastwoods, no anything? Look out for Burn decks. And black decks of any kind. Less creatures, more...everything else.

Hi TheAtomicOne
Thanks for the comment. Do you think I should take Eldrazi Monument into my main deck istead of the coat of arms?

Well, I'd say yes, but in all honesty, Eldrazi Monument costs too much. I don't like having to sacrifice creatures. I run T2 elves, And I've had some success. Vines of Vastwoods are amazing, some Naturalizes are always great to have. Canopy Covers are great, especially if you enchant Warcaller or Omnath with it. Nissa is great here, Garruk also would be awesome, to keep mana flow up (for Warcaller) or to boost everything with his -4 ability (overrun). Might I suggest a Strength of the Tajuru? Use it on your Warcallers, and everything gets buffed. Good luck with Elves, it's a tough deck to use currently.

elves obviously doesn't stand a chance in today's T2 not with the elves available in the new sets at least.
allso watch out cause M10 will soon rotate out an dmak eplace for M11

nissa's chosen is useless without nissa and you do not have enough mana to make joraga warcaller efficient everflowing chalice could be an option
fauna shaman is useless here sicne you don't hav eany wincons/ fatties to get out you don't have any toolbox and getting out another buffer is not worth it.
why do people think coat of arms is a good card?
it sucks it's too slow it's an artifatc too easily removed and it's simply overkill and unneeded. at maximum a 1 of. you deck loses to all is dust , day of jusdgement consume the meek and everything that deals at leats 2 dammage to every creature. you have no protection no rebuilding tehcnique you will probably be stuck at turn 5 with an empty hand and a big card disadvantage.

so i ay no, i you play standard or follow th emeta or go rogue with something mindblowingly new

Hi AEthercraft
Would Eldrazi Monument be an answer to the problems?

hey bud, i like the idea for t2 elves :D ive always loved playing elves, but as some advice, heres things I use in my type 2 elf deck and can swing for 40 by turn 4. try 4 overrun, 4 eldrazi monument, 3 garruk wildspeakers, 3 nissa revanes, and between 20-24 land. omnath is very unnecesary, along with fauna shaman. Most people say not to use elvish visionary, but I like to use her because she replenishes your hand. I would pull out sylvan ranger, and if you want to use Mul daya channelers (which is a good card) I would reccomend Oracle of Mul'daya because then you can get your lands out of the way of your top deck and have a better shot to keep a creature up there. Oh, and also pull out coat of arms, it buffs up your enemies most of the time also, and its way to expensive to cast. And last thing, I would pull out the Treespeekers, 12 elves that tap for mana is all you need :D. Have fun, hope I could help out

Hi Bigdcamtowin
Thank you for your encouraging comment.
I think you are right about the omnath (altough not sure what to replace them with). I like the fauna shaman because I like to switch out unnecessary mana elves to something I can use. I still have to look with the Treespeekers, since there are only 16 Lands. The Oracle of Mul'daya is to slow for me and I have only 16 lands (26%) and I havee some basic library manipulation with the fauna shaman. Perhaps I sould add some fetch-and-pain lands.
