Lol, thanks. Believe me when I tell you my buddy's and I were laughing over this for a while.
I'm pretty sure the hacker doesn't work with Death's Shadow unless you're on low life anyway. His power modifier is a passive effect, meaning it works as long as he's on the battlefield. If you have more than 12 health when he hits the field he'll die as a state-based action before you can put anything on the stack.
Why Pharika's Chosen? Go for Wasteland Viper, it seems to make more sense to me. And you can Green Sun's for it, if necessary.
How about a Keranos? That scrying will assist with the bolt effect he has going.
It's wonderful when you find one or two good cards then suddenly an entire deck appears in your head, isn't it? A friend of mine plays legacy, and three of his decks have all come from that thought. He keeps claiming that the decks just build themselves.
Frankly no, in both cases. This was just a gimmick deck I and a few friends came up with, and considering the mana curve there really isn't much of a need to ramp in any case. The Steel Walls Work because they're one drop colorless for a 0/4 and I really just have to stall until I can get Doran and a Rolling Stones out. Thanks for the recommendations, but they're not what I was aiming at.
This is truly the Epitome of 'Because I can' type decks.
What say you to sleep and Training grounds? Sleep gives you a turn to deal with things before you drop the angel, and the Training grounds will turn your Azorius Guildmage into a veritable Gigadrowse.
Silent Arbiter. That is all I have to say.
hm. missed that, thank you.
You actually need a black/green commander, don't you? You have a green commander, but black and green spells. If my knowledge of commander is correct your deck colors need to coincide with your commander's colors.
I like it, actually.
........Then wouldn't it make more sense to main board something that's a little more useful for ramping in their place?
What's the point of the birds of paradise? If you're going for monogreen, you don't need a source of any color mana.
Frankly the combination of 4 Nocturni and 4 bloodline keeper's would be a bit 'win-more' from so much pump. And they're both 4 drops. Ultimately I feel the Nocturni are a better option due to the flying benefit. Beyond that, the extra shadow alley denizen would be helpful, and I'll leave it to you to decide what goes where.
I can see what you meant, yet I get the feeling you were slightly overstating the speed on this thing. To say that your mana curve is all over the place is putting it bluntly. Personally I would drop Anowon, the butchers, and Kalitas in exchange for some more removal and mana acceleration a la dark rit. If you want a really good vamp to roll with, try your hand at Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. Trust me, she get's scary.
Truth be told this thing runs a bit weird. I've had times where I switch between a turn 4 kill set up and a midrange set up without changing a card. The creature sack and reanimation is there in the form of only two sets of cards, so I'm not sure where you got that idea. In reality this thing is crazy levels of aggro, with a lot of variation depending on the hands. Thanks though, and yes, I will check that out :)
http://www.mtgvault.com/shatterpalm/decks/savagery-and-devotion/One of my first attempts at structuring out a Standard Deck in Earnest. Looking to refine it a little, or more likely a lot. Some advice would be ideal.
I like it. Thank you for that one.
