Love the theory behind this. I have assembled it and played it a bit. One question, sorry for the newbness of it, why not use scrye lands? Is it because its worth two life to have the lands assessable sooner and not have to wait to untap them?

How do you plan to activate Deviant Glee's trample with no red mana? Am i missing something? Other than that i like it. Perhaps a different guild gate for the red?
