The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Stupid Luminarch Ascension deck, might be boring to play. Try at your own risk :)
Should easily win from most aggro decks. Against other control decks it's probably very weak.
strategy is very simple, play Luminarch Ascension, fog a few times, play a wrath of god, start making angels.

Deck discussion for Luminarch Ascension v1.0

Nice deck. I think you're right this would kick the shit out of most aggro decks, probably would include mine in that list. Please comment and rate my deck

No creatures at all? Throw in some Walls of Reverence in my opinion. Their 1/6, flying, and in the event that something gets through they heal you for at least 1 each and every turn. It enables you to prolong even more in case some gets through.

that would be bad simply because if I only had 4 creatures in the deck all my opponents removal spell would be focussed at these 4 creatures. They would not last a turn. Also with 6 wrath of God effects I don't want creatures unless they are angel tokens.
The strength of the deck is that it is well focussed, it is very hard to get through 12 fog effects with a creature based deck and any removal spells they pack will be dead cards until my ascension is activated. Trust me, it's not creatures I worry about :)

And what happens when they burn Luminarch Ascension to the ground?

I don't think I have to mention that this will have trouble once the opponent sides in enchantment hate. Angelic Chorus seems like a win-more condition given that you have no *other* creatures to make it worthwhile. I know it's just one slot, but surely there's SOMETHING better you could play, even an alternate win-condition like Akroma.

Well they won't be siding in anything as this is a casual deck but it's very true, I only have 2 tutors and one Greater Auramancy to protect Luminarch ascension and 2 replenish to resurrect it. That might be enough in a deck with lots of card draw and other stuff but here it's not enough. Waiting for the next Luminarch is so boring. I totally agree about Angelic Chorus and I can use every slot I can free up. I think I'll have to go WU instead of WR, drop the Ajani's and get some arcane denials in.
Back to the design board :) Thanks guys!!
PS to whitey_mcfly: I think that's a bit over the top for a casual deck.

I think WU is a better way to go, Seth. Check out my USA control... made some final tweaks. Will be playing it at FNM next week.
