Deck Description

This deck was born out of me dabbling in the current standard environment. I took some contemporary commons and tossed in some old removal and "graveyard-to-hand" cards. The central combo centers around sacrificing a pumped up Mortis Dogs, sacking it to Artillerize, and then bring the dogs back to do it again. The Dimir House Guard is handy because the digger, dogs, shaman, and artillerize all have a casting cost of four.

Deck discussion for Mortis-ize

nice deck, i like the idea.
But I have two card suggestions: hells caretaker (to bring out the mortis dog out of the graveyard faster)
and balduvian rage to buff mortis dog

I really like the idea of Hell's Caretaker...I traded in a playset of them at a store back when Time Spiral came out to get some credit towards a booster box...I have yet to replace them (yes, that sound you hear is regret). Also, it is hilarious that you suggested the Balduvian Rage because that was LITERALLY the last card I cut from the deck when I was putting it together. Maybe rotate out Shunt or some of the Demonic Appetites? As always, keep the comments coming, please!

take out shunts and replace them with balduvian rage OR Fist of the anvil.
And take out 2 dimir houseguards and replace them with something funny (like caretaker)
