The original cards that spawned this concept were Spellbound Dragon and Stormchaser Chimera. Out of that came this deck of discard-based direct damage and power offense, combined with "graveyard to battlefield" cards to make use of the big mana creatures that I'm discarding.
It takes a lot of practice to play this deck. Your starting hand really determines what to do. Given the four mana you need to really get started, at least one use of Faithless Looting or Magus of the Bazaar is usually necessary if you don't have the lands in your starting hand to begin with. You just need to be careful you don't dump all your monsters without a graveyard card ready to cast. You also don't want to be forced to discard Spellbound Dragon or Stormchaser Chimera. Also, if you can see you'll be casting Spellbound Dragon soon, you wouldn't want to have no monsters in your hand to feed him with. Nevertheless, once you get the hang of this, despite the slow start, I think you'll find the amount of damage you're unleashing and the big monsters entering the battlefield on your side will quickly turn the tide in your favor.
