Deck Description

This is a Red/Black burns basically, on the cheep-ish for standard. Guttersnipe gets out and speeds up burning to death. This ought kill turn 4-8, if not it dies. I know it has one two many cards, but most of the burn is interchangeable and it doesn't seem to affect consistency. This deck is built to finish "in the money" but not necessarily top tear in my local meta, I know it has weaknesses but less than you'd think. Sideboard is bodies if play demands it.

EDIT:
Jesus, the spell base is inconsistent, mostly just cards I have at hand and threw in, also acquired a Rakdos, so i guess he finishes now.

Arguments for the seemingly bad cards:
Vile Rebirth -- turns your annoying scavenge creatures into 2/2 zombies for me.

Pillar of Flame -- Shock, but slower, has the benefit of being used to remove a creature entirely though, mostly it hits you in the face and could be boosted by guttersnipe. Activates the Morbidity trigger on Brimstone Volley for R, Similarly lets Rakdos come out turn 5 for an extra R.

Bump in the Night- burns your face for 3 at a cost of B. That is pretty okay is a deck just trying to burn quickly. Then can hit for 3 again late game if I don't draw another spell to hit with. (i.e., turn 6+ draw manna)

Rakdos Guildgate- If I open any of the shock land I'll replace them, until then they stay four of.

Sign in Blood- Card draw, that could in a pinch burn you. (your down to four life and I have a guttersnipe out, who cares if you draw two cards and die?) I'd love for it to be at instant speed, but it is printed as Black not Blue.

Carnival Hellsteed- Honestly, I just like saying I'm going to unleash the pony, I have the shiny pre-release one which amuses me. Could it be cut, probs, but 5/4 first strike is a nasty blocker and it is a valuable fling target.

Thunderbolt- This isn't a bad card, it is strictly better than incenerate (I don't care that it doesn't kill land based creatures the extra damage to fliers is worth it) but one of? Well, yes I only have 1 if I had another auger spree I'd put that in.

I like it, it is a very RDW approach to Rakdos. I on the otherhand went more for a creature based aggro than burn with the same guild. I would consider evening out some of them. Like dropped some 3 to 2 and some 3 to 4.

Check out the sideboard which is faster and more creature heavy.

I'm not a fan of carnival hellsteed. would like to see 4 demons instead. The only reason i say that is that a 6/5 that cannot block or 5/4 that can for 6 is not as strong as a 6/6 for 4 that becomes big and destroys creatures while doing nothing. When they run out of creatures that's a second win factor carnival hellsteed doesn't feel like a win factor, isn't a early or mid game card

Thanks, but I don't have two more Demons =(

I will run like this once or twice at an FNM and if it doesn't seem to work I'll replace with with 2 of Hellrider or Olivia

I personally think rakdos is kind of weak in this set, hopefully the next two will make it better. but as far as a rakdos deck goes, this is a great one. and as above, i feel the hellsteed is kind of overhyped.
