Deck Description

The workhorses of this deck are Mesmeric Orb and Hedron Crab, augmented by Archive Trap. I buy myself time with the cheap blocking power of Fog Bank and Wall of Denail with a good amount of removal/counterspell.
SB consists of aggro-hate (propaganda, etc.) Beckon Apparition for mill-hate, and a kozilek to use against other mill decks.

Most say Terramorphic Expanse sucks, but it's mana fixing and couples with Hedron Crab. Two hedrons out and a terramorphic turns into a un-counterable 'mill 12,' and that's not a rare happening in this deck.. Thing is, who can afford $100 worth of fetch-lands when T-Ex is basically free?

I'd love some feedback on this!!

Deck discussion for Ball of Denial - Legacy

I'd cut black. Instead of those 4 cards, use counters or more draw. You need to do something about your lands too. Comes into play tapped lands are wrecking your clock. T Ex isn't too bad, but the Sanctum needs to go.
On the topic of mana one land destruction spell looks like it could do serious damage to your mana curve.

I otherwise really like it. My first post seems overly critical about it, so I felt I needed to say this.

I agree, the land was the weakest part of this deck. It playtests well, but i was still uneasy about it. Are you saying just toss in a few more basics?
As far as the black goes, I had thought of taking it out, but mind funeral always nets me about 14 cards (sometimes a whole deck if they've been fetching), and that's at least 6 or 7 more turns that I don't have to last through, and the same with glimpse, but i suppose a few mana leaks would make this deck a lot more annoying hehe.
Thanks for the tips I'll update this later today if i get the chance

Still need to cut the mind Funerals and the Glimpse the Unthinkables.
I'd go with either Halimar Excavators, Tome Scour, Brain Freeze, Vision Charm, or Memory Sluice.

The Memory Sluices could be really nice with your creatures.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I've cut black completely for white. The mill was nice, but i needed more creature disruption.
As for excavators, scours, freezes, charms, and sluices, believe it or not I've extensively playtested all of those cards and have cut them from the deck. They are waaay too weak, and with the amount of control I run, the only powerful card (brain freeze) never wound up doing anything. It's better in a combo/storm deck.
What I've found out about mill from others and this deck is that it's a war of attrition. A single hedron crab will win you the game as long as you last through the opponent's creatures. You just need to have 1 more card than the opponent and the crab and orb help me get that. My new additions (WoG, PtE, and more StoPs) help me last until that point. Let me know what you think.

UPDATED as of 12-28-10 (black out, WoGs in, Daze out, switched Shadowfeed for beckon apparition in SB)

oooo i just realized... wouldn't Wall of Shards be great for this deck? I utilize flying walls to block, and it's a 1/8 flying defender for 1W. It has com. upkeep opponent gains 1 life but i literally deal no damage with this deck so that's not a downside at all!
Idk, anyone think it'd be a good idea to replace my fog banks with those? Or perhaps put a few in in stead of some of the exiling cards?
