A bit different Bant Slippery bogle deck, running some extra creatures and dipping more into Blue to get access to Detention Sphere and Counterspells. It's been over a year since I updated this one. Have done some fairly major changes since then. Most of the landbase has changed, removed nearly all the blue enchants, added some un-orthodox creatures, better enchants, 3x paths, and made the deck better suited to face off against most of the modern deck in the current (local) meta.
TL:DR;Play bogle Enchant bogleWreck faceLonger version:You want to drop a Slippery bogle* or a Gladecover scout* (*from here on just called a 'bogle')as soon as possible, preferably round 1. and then load it up with enchants. Killing a properly enchanted bogle is near impossible, which is the bread and butter of this deck. The bogles have hexproof as protection from targeted removal the umbras give protection from destroy effects like Day of judgement and blocking dmg and, keeping a Misty Rainforest, or Windswept heath unused, let's you fetch for dryad arbor, giving you protection against sacrifice spells, (by sacrificing the dryad arbor instead)Against creature heavy decks, spirit mantle gives protection from creatures, so the bogle survives blocking/being blocked, by anythingYou could start enchanting the Kor Spiritdancer aswell, but be vary of removal. (althou smashing someone in the face for 13, round 3 with a jacked up spirit dancer is a ton of fun) Depending on what you're playing against you should usually mulligan untill you have a bogle, 2 lands and 2 enchants in your hand. The deck is set up to be good against most things the first round, then sideboard out "dead" cards the last 2 rounds. Usually find myself getting rid of the Mesa enchantress the 2nd round no matter what im playing against, but having that extra draw the first round is ok. sideboard in spirit mantle and the last path to exile against creature heavy decks, negate against decks that don't have that many creatures. the deck have a couple of hard counters, A chalise of the void for 2 mana, shuts this deck down hard, countering every 1 drop in the deck, and makes Krosan's grip, or straight up Naturalize a way better sideboard card than Nature's claim. Spellskite and Ratchet bomb are other problems, but both can be dealt with with our removal.

I would proxy this up and try to play, but i foresee you running out of mana a bit fast if someone kills off your card draw guys.. then again it could work.... dancer WILL be killed, FAST. Put Eel umbra in the side for decks that run shock, doom blade, dismember to counter this.Good luck

Yeah, will have to see whether I need to add more mana or not.Good call on the eel umbra, added it now, will have to see if I have any of those lying around
If you drafted during Zeidcar you should, i think they were uncommon.
Pretty sure I started during Zendikar, so I should have some cards from that period :pdon't think I have a playset of spectral flight so I'll go with 2 of each or something :)
A few things if this is modern constricted then i suggest Auramancer's Guise if it isn't legality bound then i suggest Ancestral Mask and as a general help Umbra Mystic might counter that burn kill aspect
Not restricted in any way, just casual play with a couple of buddies. Not sure if I like the Guise, a bit slow, usually play against fast decks. How will the auramancer work against bordclears like supreme verdict? (sorry for asking about rules here)
You mean Umbra Mystic? And a totem aura can block board wipes unless it says permanents the it will kill the auras and the creature at the same time. Although I have found out that bouncing decks can counter this unless you have hexproof
Ops, yeah, I mean the Umbra mystic :)the scenario in question im wondering about is when You got a Umbra mystic on the board, with no enchant on it. and another creature with an enchant on it. if an effect would kill both at the same time, how would that work?would the totem armor be in effect to save the other creature, even thou it "dies" at the same time as the Umbra dies, and the effect wears off?
I am pretty sure you would sac the aura and keep the enchanted creature alive not 100% sure though
kk, thanks^^ added the mystic, guise and mask :)ordered the guise and mask aswell, gonna play around with all of em and see what works
