Alrighty, this is my end result of an Obzedat-based flicker deck. No, I didn't forget to put the Obzedat in, I just took it out, double black was a pain.Sideboard needs work, I'm not sure how to gear it, and it probably depends on the Metagame, of course. At the moment, it's mainly geared against the Aggro decks in my local Metagame at the moment. Also on the sideboard agenda, I'm not sure about the Loxodon Smiters. If there's a Control-heavy Metagame, it might see more use, but, at the moment it isn't getting much love =(Golgari Charm was a 'Maybe' Idea I had as a counter to Wrath effects. Also thinking that it might need a few more lands. Playtesting, here I come! All Feedback is greatly appreciated, I'll try to respond to all comments.
When I show people Cloudshift, they generally say to cut it. Personally, I like it.In a fix, you can use it defensively, to protect creatures from burn spells and removal, but it really shines in the lategame: 5 Life and a 3/3 Token? 5/5 Trample Token?! DOUBLE CRATERHOOF TRIGGER (or a rebuff next turn)?!?!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT ONLY COSTS 'W'?Farseeks and Rangers Paths are Colourfixing, your main priority is a Black source, as you can often find white. Jarad's Orders works rather nicely, I've found. It finds the pieces you need.Removal-Heavy Deck? Find a Sigarda.Ready to finish the game? Find an Armada Wurm, or a Craterhoof, depending on your mana, and Flicker effects ready to go.Graveyard targets are either a Deadbridge Goliath, for it's Scavenge Value, or an Unburial Rites Target. (For people who know what you're up to, why not Unburial Rites the Goliath itself? Always nice to force a Grave-Hate Misplay)Sideboarding is to preference, but I like to add in Healers and Faithmenders to counter the hyper-aggro, as the life gained can stall their strategy outright. The other Visionaries also help to pull the curve down.Again, I haven't had a lot of experience against Control.Other than that, I wish the best luck for all of you!Happy Playing

I got similar reactions to Cloudshift in my GW deck. Now my opponents play around it :DCloudshift is by far one of my favourite one drop white spells. In my GW deck, its vesitility is just too good to cut it. I use it to rebond my Silverblade Paladin or Wolfir Silverheart, save a creature from targeted removal, "remove" the +1/+1 counter from Strangleroot Geist so it can undie again, "untap" a creature so I can block. All of that for W and at instant speed, loving the card :pAs for the black in this deck, without Obzedat (who I assume was the insperation for this deck), it looks out of place...An enchantment that I've found works nicely in a flicker deck is Rancor. If you flicker the creature that Rancor is on, it goes back to your hand and because it only costs G, it's easy to replay :)

Hiya Ded!When I decided to go into GW, with this deck, I just found that the Double Black cost on Obzedat was too hard to cast with such a small black splash. By the time you need the single-black's at the moment, you've often hit a Farseek or a Ranger's Path to find an Overgrown tomb to power it.I personally love the splash for Jarad's Orders and Unburial Rites, I think I've put the main targets in the how-to-play area. Sigarda was fantastic in a match-up I had against a removal-heavy deck, and the ability to search for her in a scenario where you're losing anything else you play is invaluable. Furthermore, Rites is a fantastic follow-up to an orders, as you can bring back whatever you stuck into your grave, the singleton Deadbridge Goliath acting as a GY target when you don't have Rites. In the end, I'm enjoying the Black splash at the moment, as the single-splash cards can give plenty of versatility and resilience to the deck, although, I'll have to play it more to see what works well. One match up I'm trying to get at the moment is this against a net-decked Selesnya aggro/midrange deck, should be fun =)Thanks for the comment, happy playing.Seablaze
now the question remains...how we break it?
Hi there, I'm wickeddarkman and I'm a pretty crazy individual. (Some might call me the sidney lee of magic!!!)I'm trying to start a trend of playing with "halfdecks" You split two decktypes into two halves of 30 cards that somehow makes sense, then smack them together with something else.I'm working on splitting elfcombo, so you are herby invited to help me split the most average legacy elves deck in two!Sounds like fun? Go here and help:http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/halfdeck-behemothelves/
