I really like this deck. I've been wanting to build a Knight deck for a while but had no inkling of where to start. Good ideas!

I must say, this deck would be no fun to play against. :)

So, I made a few changes based on some research. I've still got more to do as I become familiar with the cards within this realm.

Changes:
-4 Rampant Growth, -4 Eldrazi Temple, -4 Eye of Ugin, -2 Karn Liberated, -2 Spawnsire of Ulamog (16 cards)
+1 Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek, +2 It That Betrays, +3 Elvish Archdruid, +3 Oracle of Mul Daya, +2 Garruk Wildspeaker... I can't recall what the last change was. Darn.

I must have misunderstood your first post. I typically run 20 mana, even in my mana ramp decks, because it's easy to get plenty of mana with the cards available (llanowar, oracle, and archdruid). I'll spend some time investigating some of these changes elsewhere and see what I can come up with. I can dig on removing the Eye of Ugin for sure (somehow I overlooked the legendary status of that card...). Changes to come soon! :)

Have you played this deck? I'd be really interested to see how it fares against other more expensive decks. Kudos for an entire deck under $10! :)

I don't know why I didn't think of the Predator Oozes requiring 3 forests. So, here are a couple changes:

-4 Predator Ooze, -4 Eldrazi Conscription (kind of redundant to the Eldrazi creatures and takes up space for ramp)
+4 Forest, +4 Cultivate

Now, I'm curious as to whether I should sub a creature or two out for an Oracle of Mul Daya or Elvish Archdruid somewhere.

Thanks for the tips! My concern with exchanging the BIrds out for another creature that provides mana is that with the combo of having both the Llanowar Elves and BoP, there's a HUGE chance I'll have at least one of those in my opening hand. With the others, if I get one in my opening hand, it won't help until turn 2 or 3. Does that make it worth the trade? Plus, I can Green Sun the BoP or Llanowar really easily on turn 2 if I get one or the other out in turn 1. I'll check out the Overrun trade for Rampant Growth and see how it fairs for me. Thanks again!

I took some of your suggestions and made another attempt at this deck. I think it may work a bit better at what I was going for. Thanks for the tips!

I may lose the Primordial Hydra as it doesn't do a lot for this deck. Also, it may be nice to streamline some of those single elves and find one or two that do what you're looking for (maybe more of the Scattershot Elves and losing a couple of the others?). Also, Rancor trumps Giant Growth for me. Sure, you get more power/toughness from giant growth, but the Rancor's trample certainly helps once you've beefed up a creature (that and it stays more than one turn!). Looks like a fun deck to play!

Cool usage of defenders. Seems like a fun deck to play with a couple ways to end the game in your favor. Also nice to see a very budget build that could frustrate some opponents. Out of curiosity, why the variety in the sideboard? It seems that it might not be terribly effective to have only 1 of every card?
