*The group I play with allows the Nephilim to be used as generals in EDH.* This deck has one goal: to abuse the hell out of Ink-Treader Nephilim. You simply take an efficient single-target spell that you'd like to copy, point it at Ink-Treader, and reap the benefits from casting it at every legal target. The deck has a token theme going on, so it provides plenty of targets itself. There are eight cantrip spells that have a rather narrow range of applications. They mostly deal with pumping creatures and forcing attackers through. While such cards normally wouldn't be worth the space they take up in a deck, Ink-Treader can allow them to draw upwards of five cards easily for one or two mana. These cantrips are all tutorable with Sunforger, too. There are a few more expensive toys for Ink-Treader to play with as well. * Cackling Counterpart, Heat Shimmer, Rite of Replication, and Spitting Image are all absurd when cast off of Ink-Treader. They're all especially impactful with creatures like Clooudgoat Ranger--you'll be making a copy of a spell that makes token copies of your tokens because, yo dawg, I heard you like token copies... If you happen to have an Izzet Chronarch or Eternal Witness out, too, then you can regrow your spell to do it again. * Aether Mutation will also generate a disgusting amount of tokens. If you bounce your own Siege-Gang Commander with the card, so much the better. *Traitorous Instinct is Insurrection +1 for half the mana cost in this deck. It ends games. If you simply can't build a strong board position, you can take everyone down to your level. Pointing a STP at Ink-Treader turns the spot removal into a Final Judgment. Having that kind of flexibility is what makes this Nephilim so much fun!
