Deck Description

Fun standard deck with lots and lots of deathtouch to clean up the board. Golgari charm to help with hexproofed creatures and Supreme Verdicts. Vraska's abilities work very well in a deck like this. Her assassins should have no trouble going through with no creatures on the field. Deadly allure also helps wipe the board and makes those dumb hexproof creatures have to block at some point.

Deck discussion for Standard B/G Deathtouch

You should have 4 vampire nighthawks, I would say take out all the wolfir and put in 2 nighthawk and 1 more thrill kill assassin... Also I would make room for those desecration demons you have in your sideboard to put into your main deck =p... cool deck tho, deathtouch is pretty mean

I love deathtouch decks. I don't love this one, however. 2 main problems as I see it.

1: all of your deathtouchers, with the exception of the nighthawk, are not tough enough. If you are trading 1 creature for 1 creature in battle, this deck will lose. You need more ways to regenerate your creatures. Typhoid rats looks useless except as a blocker, and deadly recluse is 5 times better as a blocker. Are there good 4 toughness deathtouchers in this format?

2: Deadly Allure is a great card, but it's only half as good in this deck, because everything already has deathtouch. Deadly allure is great in a first strike deck, but only barely playable in this deck.

Here's my non-standard deathtouch deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/thelogician/decks/the-kinky-nighthawk/

Thanks for your reply!

My deathtouchers aren't tough enough for what? I'll trade a Typhoid Rats for an Armada Wurm or something huge like that any day. Do you think my opponent would want to? Hell no. Deadly Allure and Golgari Charm both regenerate my creatures. Deadly Allure also makes sure they are going to be blocked. Again, trade a 1-drop for a 3, 4, or hell, even a 2-drop that my opponent NEEDS? Why wouldn't I do that? Granted, a token deck, yes, this deck will be no good. And I agree. That's why I said this is a FUN deck. It's not meant to be tournament quality.

Anyway, giving them first strike is a great idea... Thanks again for the feedback!
