Yeah, 3 Thoughtseize is definitely plenty for this deck. I still think one less Dreadbore and one more Return would work better, though lol :P

My red deck doesn't go above 4 CMC, and I might even be taking the 4 cost out. It's ridiculously fast, but this deck is able to keep the tempo.

Oh, and on a side note: I saw a Golgari deck you recently commented on and built the deck based on your suggestions and have been testing it and it works great!

Played a deck like this last night against my RDW and it kicked my ass, lol. Big creatures but you get them out quick. Good stuff.

Yeah, I think so. Honestly, you're probably not going to be running across a lot of really fast aggro, but when you do, I think you'll want them.

What about Dragon Fodder or Krenko's Command instead of Thatcher Revolt? That way they don't go away! :)

If you're prone to aggro decks, I'd throw in something like Sedge Scorpion or Deadly Recluse. Deadly Recluse is probably better because of reach and it can survive attacks from little 1/1's.

What about Nykthos for the devotion? It'd be great for Sphinx Revelation, Syncopate, and/or Heliod.

I would love to play this against my red deck haha

Have you had any use of the Bident? Seems under-utilized in most decks.

Gravecrawler would be a good fit for this deck. Even if you're trying to keep it budget, having a few shouldn't hurt too bad.
