I built a sideboard

I realized that the door of destiny is an alternative that I prefer because it boosts all your creatures instead of only one but will instead provide a permenant boost whenever you cast a vampire

the nighthawk and lashwrithe would be good options but Blade of the Bloodchief is a bit out of the price range, building this for a friend who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a deck.

You should build this deck

I know this is your first deck but ill give you some suggestions to improve it anyway.

You have too many different cards, you are trying to fit too much stuff into this deck. You need to remove some cards and add more of others.
But what to remove? First establish what you deck is trying do, what are your win conditions? Now go through and take out cards that are not helping achieve the goal of the deck, then add more of your win conditions and supporting cards. Personally I would maybe focus around the Abhorrent Overlord or Undergrowth Scavenger. You will also need cards to help you stay alive until you get your win conditions onto the board or help build up things like your devotion to black for the Abhorrent Overlord.

These all look like great cards to add in but what to take out?

I've made a few changes based on your suggestions, I swapped jace for chandra as I realized jace wasn't really doing anything for the deck whereas chandra's second ability will help. I did originally have a budget of around $30 but that kina went out the window once I started building. Also this was originally intended as a mid-range deck
