Deck discussion for One Mana Budget Fun Counters

Yay! I love one mana decks. I have a whole series of them (one for every color and artifacts). I like how you went for the counters route, cards like Hardened Scales definitely make this possible now. Awesome.

I wonder if Llanowar Reborn would be a better fit than Treetop Village with this setup though? Also, I feel the point here for you is Joraga Warcaller, but it doesn't matter how the counters get there, so for your budget and for speed's sake I wonder if something like Simic Initiate would be better than Joraga Treespeaker. With the money freed up you could afford more Hardened Scales.

Here is my One Mana Green deck for comparison (I went the buffing spells route instead of counters):

Enjoy your deck!

BasilicaNero, thanks for your input! I added Llanowar Reborn on top of Treetop Village.

As for Simic Initiate, I think I'll take a pass. It's a good idea to focus on counters certainly, but I also like keeping Joraga Treespeaker in play due to it being an elf for Joraga Warcaller's effect, and also allowing for mana with Enshrined Memories. I think having creatures still on the battlefield is preferred, since drawing cards can be a problem with low mana casting.

I like the look of your deck too! It seems to have good speed as long as you have the creatures in play to act on.

Enjoy your playing!
