Deck Description

This is a competitive deck that i currently play at fnm. It is fun to play and is also succesful. The deck is mainly white and blue, with a splash black for lingering souls if ever needed. combo pieces: (venser, stonehorn, splicer). Blink splicer to create a golem, or stonehorn to disable combat. Win with venser's ultimate or a lethal amount of creatures and venser's -1 ability.

Deck discussion for Venser combo deck

U gonna' need more creatures in this1 with triggered abilities... I like the way U could flick your creatures, while playing Judgment...

Here is the deck I use in standard today... any suggestions?.. : http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=343423

when i play tested i found that my creature base was alright due to ponder and a mana acceleration to 3,4, and 5 by using sphere. Thanks tho. i do aggre with more creatures that have flikr abilities, but there are not many that would add benefit to this deck atm.

Overall I like the feel of the deck.
It is extremely defensive!
I like what your doing with the Stonehorn Dignitary and the Blade Slicer with the exiling.
You can block the majority of spells with Mana Leak or eliminate any destructible threats with Day of Judgement.
I would suggest incorporating Restoration Angel into this deck. Unfortunately It costs a lot of real life mana. It can eliminate the need for Lingering Souls with it's ability to fly while providing another option for your flickering strategy.

i agree with using restoration angel, but i currently do not have the money right now 2 dump into this deck, especially with the upcoming rotation.

Nice idea for a deck, i like it, never really fully understood the potential of Mimic vat, but now I realise a good way of how to :) I really need to take a deeper look on this 2morro, as I'm tired as hell atm.

If u can't afford Restoration Angels yet, then I could advice u to add a couple of Cloudshifts to make use of the blink ability of your creatures for a very cheap manacost. Actually it might even be a better option, who knows :)
