The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Conjecturing a modification to my vintage Elf deck. I don't have many of the "classical" pieces (namely Lords and newer rares), but I think I have enough to make it work.

For relatively competitive T1 play, you will want the deck to go faster or run disruption to deal with the speed and power of the decks in the format. Grim Long, for example, can easily go off on turns 1 and 2 for lethal storm damage. You will probably want to build yourself up to a win very quickly (in about a turn after you get your combo pieces. I'd recommend running more mana elves, and most importantly, nettle sentinel. He should be a 4of in your deck. Combined with earthcraft(legal in the vintage card pool), he can easily accelerate you to victory with an active glimpse of nature. Glimpse of nature is another powerful card, as it lets you draw a ton. Resolve one with a 2-3 lands and a mana elf on the field, and you can feasibly ramp yourself to 15 mana in a single turn.(which lets you emrakul, untap, and win). Another thing that you will consistently encounter in vintage is a large amount of artifacts. Pack some artifact destruction in your deck and you will be very happy. Elves have some rather efficient artifact destruction.

No taunting elf? Also, if you look into the newer rares at all, the sickest combo out there right now, in my opinion, is Immaculate Magistrate + Joraga Warcaller. It gets out of hand really fast.
