The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

My not 10L deck, but built in the flavor of its namesake. A while back I fell in love with 10L Stompy, but don't have the cards to build it properly (mainly the mandatory 2x Gaea's Cradles), and so endeavored to build it on a budget. It simply didn't work.. so here is the evolution of that deck, using cards I have to build my effective NOT 10L Stompy deck :D Note: Scryb Sprites are just filling in until I can find my Skaargan Pit-Skulks. They fit the mana curve and carry Wreath's well enough.. not as well as Pit-Skulks, but they manage :) They also LOVE to eat multiple Skullclamps combo-ing with Oran-Rief for huge card draws.

pretty cool deck. I like the oran-rief/sprite/skullclamp combo, it's a great green draw concept.

Thanks! I started with just two Skullclamps, but since I added Oran-Rief I had to add another.. and that wasn't enough, I needed that fourth! I usually wouldn't run more than two in a deck, as you only ever really need one, but when you can consistently draw and play 4-6 cards per turn.. well.. It's pretty bonkers :)
i would cut the wreath of giest add rancor instead probably cut the skull clamps cause they arent legal at all deff add berserk with kavu predator invigorate combo silhana ledgewalker green sun zenith noble hierarch cut some lands i know your deck inst going for berserk deck but the skull clamps arent legal and with out skull clamp your deck needs the boost and in a mono green deck birds is pretty bad lanowar elf is juts better but noble hierach even better than him but i would probabaly play both just my opinion hope some of that helps
Legality isn't a concern. I don't go to tournaments, and my casual group plays "If you own it, play it" with a few house rule restrictions (depending on who's hosting). The purpose of this deck was to build stompy on a budget. That precludes Berser, Heirarch, etc.. Also, I don't own any Rancor, though they're on my list of things to acquire in time. Otherwise, I can't really take your suggestion seriously if you truly believe Birds of Paradise are bad ;) Just because they produce mana of any color doesn't mean I should run something that only produces [G] in their place, as Llanowar Elves don't have flying! Oran-Rief and pump alone justify running BoP over Elves, let alone BoP carrying a Wreath of Geists. Wreath's as well.. pure amazing! Think about it, I'm sacrificing Farmhands and Augurs, as well as other creatures to Skullclamp for (usually) 4-6 cards at a time.. It gets huge. Thank you for your suggestions though :) I am definitely considering trying out Rancor in place of Mutagenic Growth. I don't often need to pump at instant speed, and the added trample / recursion would be better (I think), even if Mutagenic Growth is potentially free to play.
