Combo Sacrifice and "when sent to the graveyard" effects, Act of Treason and Mark of Mutiny for stealing opponents creatures and sacrificing them. Immortal Coil saves your a$$ if you've used up most of you "ammo creatures" and lets you hold you for a final blow. I also find just having multiple was of ditching your abyssal persecutor can often lets him run the show by himself
