This deck continues a long-standing tradition of sacrificing fodder creatures for lots of value.
The nonland cards in this deck can more or less be divided into four categories:1. Efficient body producers such as the holy kitty and Hidden Stockpile2. Sacrifice outlets like Yahenni, Ayli, and Hidden Stockpile3. Death beneficiaries in the form of Call for Unity, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Hidden Stockpile4. The bread and butter of BW decks, spot removal.5. Hidden StockpileBasically the deck is is designed to play a handful of creatures that can be sac'd without much consequence to get full value out of the swinging power Yahenni, followed up by drain from Cutthroat and life gain from Anointer Priest. One of the best parts of running a sacrifice deck in standard right now is being able to get revolt triggers pretty much every turn. Hidden stockpile is almost always a free body on end step, and sacrificing a servo in your upkeep to set up a draw triggers its own revolt clause. Call for Unity is something that you want to drop as soon as you hit five mana, keep the sac train rolling, and swing out for lethal in a turn or two. This deck also seems to have roughly enough lifegain synergies to support Crested Sunmare, which does disgusting things when left unchecked.
