New version of my kokusho based utility deck: This deck mainly came to be when I was trying to look back at my favorite deck of all time, Tooth and Nail, and try to revamp it into a version that more suited my idea of a versatile deck that doesn't need to rely on one specific strategy, as well as my experience with mainly reanimator and uyo-decks. The main difference is that this build relies on a different mana production in form of basic lands (which are supported by Azusa) and Heartbeat of Spring. I found this mana base to be potentially more consistent than the cabal coffers engine. The basic strategy is still the same: Mainly try to kill your opponent by repeatedly putting to kokusho's into the game and use their effects to inflict high amounts of damage. In case this fails the deck can use the black mana produced by the urborg heartbeat of spring engine to cast out a massive consume spirit. Should both options fail the deck can fetch another winning creature from the sideboard via living wish and as such adapt to the situation at hand. Cards: Urborg: Prodcues vast quantities of black mana together with "heartbeat of spring" for "consume spirit" Sakura-Tribe Elder. searches the needed basic lands, early blocker Azusa: Mana acceleration Kokusho: Main winning option, also flying fatty Entomb: Puts needed creatures into graveyard (Kokusho; Azusa) as such works as tutor Exhume: brings back creatures from the graveyard Rites of Spring: Mana Acceleration; allows to pu creatures into graveyard to be reanimated Harrow: Mana Acceleration; potentially discarded for "Rites of Spring" Living Wish: allows u to fetch creatures from Sideboard if needed Sylvan Scrying: searches Urborg for "Consume Spirit", potentially discarded for "Rites of Spring" Night's Whisper: Card draw, potentially discarded for "Rites of Spring" Consume Spirit: alternative Win Option Tooth and Nail: searches out 2 Kokushos at once Heartbeat of Spring: Mana Acceleration Wild Pair: brings a second Kokusho in game from the deck whenever one is played Sideboard: Miren: allows you to kill Kokusho, target for "living Wish" Eternal Witness: brings back needed Cards like "Consume Spirit", target for "Living Wish" Azusa: see above, target for living wish Thorn Elemental: basically unblocked fatty, target for "Living Wish" Spirit of the Night: fatty, target for Living Wish Gleancrawler: potentially returns 2 Kokushos (if no exhume), target for Living Wish Living Hive: fatty, creates tokens fast, target for "living Wish" Kagemaro: potentially cleans the field; target for "living Wish" Footsteps of the Goryo: brings back and autokills Kokusho Cranial Extraction: targets specific card strategies e.g. Tooth and Nail, Fireball etc.
