I dont think the undying evils are really worth it, I think a sac outlet like bloodthrone vampire would be better, or bloodflow connoisseur if you want counters
You should look at running nivix cyclops, its good if you don't hit EE and brutal if you do
If you are running tempo you should really look at running nivix cyclops
What about venser's journal? I know you have the towers for unlimited hand size, but journal gives you life gain to keep you alive.
What about slumbering dragons? You can easily get it up in counters and then its a 3/3 for 1 scavenge when in the graveyard
What is your win con?
Come on, not mean enough, you need to add in circu lobotomist and surgical extraction. Here is my discard version http://www.mtgvault.com/santiago/decks/no-casting-for-you/. Good luck with yours
Why are you running cancel over dissipate?
I dont think you need 8 sac engines, I would try something else in place of some of them. A good addition would be something like vizkopa guildmage, her first and second ability together let you push through dmg even when blocked, and you can activate her second ability multiple times to get more from blood artist. Thats just my 2 cents. Nonetheless good deck
That is a good point, may change that up for my own
There isn't all that much enchantment removal aside from detention sphere and oblivion ring, and killing the guildmage doesn't do squat if he is pulling of the combo since the ability is on the stack even if he dies it still activates, and if you do it before he activates the ability, he can just activate it in response
Great deck, Im running the same kind, but less focused on the infinite combo.1) I would sideboard the blind obediences and replace them with oblivion rings, the tap effect really only helps against aggro decks that have haste creatures, beyond that it is just a 2 mana card with extort2) I would reduce crypt ghast, high priest, and basilica guards to 3 and add in either 3 syndic of the tithes or 3 basilica screechers3) In terms of a sideboard when you get to it I would recommend 3-4 nevermores, 2 rest in peaces, 3-4 devour fleshes, and 2 witchbane orbs. Nevermore is an amazing sideboard card with the limited amount of ways to remove it. Rest in peace depends if you have any graveyard decks in your meta, though with the glories rise "infinite" combo there is a good chance. Devour flesh deals with those nasty hexproof creatures like geist and lavar. Finally witchbane orb actually helps against mill decks since you can stop jace from targeting you for mill which is most mill decks main source of mill.Hope this was helpful, and would appreciate comments on my own deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/santiago/decks/orzhov-control/
What about replacing abyssal persecutor with desecration demons? Ya they can stop him from attacking, but that takes sacing a creature and pumping him, and you dont have to kill it in order to win the game.
Since you are running both crypt ghast and heartless summoning I would try and throw in on or two more higher cost creatures. Personally I would ditch the disciples and run necropolis regent in its place, with only heartless out you can have it turn 4, and with only crypt ghast it becomes turn 5 (only because crypt ghast is turn 4)Here is my own mono black: http://www.mtgvault.com/santiago/decks/mono-black/
You could put in the awesomeness that is stuffy doll, but aside from that it looks pretty good, Id throw some o-rings in the sideboard too
duskmantle seer is not a good idea with that many high costing spells
Ditch the mind sculpts for venser's journals the life gain they give you is amazing in this deck
What about running cloudshifts? they protect your creatures from removal and they allow you to blink the messenger back without a counter, or to blink obzedat
What about Rhox faithmender?
