You made me want to make my own izzet :DCheck it: http://www.mtgvault.com/sang11/decks/699764/This is how i would play izzet standard. In the 3 blank spots it goes Keranos, God of Storms, and in place of guildgates there goes scrylands (Buy ill have to wait JOU)
yeah, but you are playing only 1 purphoros... If you are ading 2 cards, just because their intereaction with purphoros, you should at least play 3 purphoros
I dont think that it worth the splash just for elspeth and legion intiative, adding the splash make de deck slower because of gates and temples, also elspeth dont work with the purpose of the deck, its slow and dont add devotion, and legion intiative only will give you +1/+0.I you insist with the white splash it would be nice just for boros charm, so you can give double strike to a creature when needed or to make them indestructible.I would play max 24 lands, with a recomended of 23.Also your are losing the turn 1, in a deck like this you should have it, like Firedrinker Satyr or Rakdos Cackler.
Basic lands at least for path to exile
blood moon
then you sideboard, but almost every deck play with non basic lands
Would be awesome play with 4 blood moon in main and 4 goblin king
I would run 1 or 2 Nykthos
thats why i run Chained to the Rocks :P
I would play only 3 Phenax, just because it is legendary, and with 4 its really probable to get 2 at time in hand and getting one stuck there
Love Chandra Ablaze and with fenix is the best way to play it :DHave you tested it? I think that with only 21 lands youll have dificult to play this Chandra
Change Fireblast for Shard Volley and you have a modern deck, by the way, Shard Volley is better.
With so much enchatment you should play Ethereal Armor in place of the Ordeal of Nylea
Ive tested a lot whit a similar deck against a mono blue, and if he get 4 tokens you need more than a turn to take off the tokens, he was a pain in the ass for me, but chained to the rocks solves it, at least when i have one in hand
I know, just saying that Skullcrack can do it, but Anger of the Gods also exile the Chandra's Phoenix and Mizzium Mortars + Skullcrack need 8 mana (imposible in this deck), so the only way with red spells available is this combination ( I think). Chained to the Rocks for the win!
but Electrickery and Skullcrack does ;)
Also, Skullcrack to prevent life gaining in control decks should be in sb at least. Last Breath and Volcain Geyser shouldnt be, in my opinion in the sideboard. Maybe Electrickery to deal with tokens or aggro decks and consider something to change the cards that target creatures if you play against a deck without creatures.
nope, Chained to the Rocks would be better.
Be experience i tell you that every deck with 20 lands never will play things with converted mana 6 (Maybe if the game extend), 4 max, with some luck. You should change that things por drops of 1, or add more lands. The same with Aurelya's Fury, you will never use it for more than 3 damage, in place of that use a Magma Jet or Something like that
