An idea I've been messing with, as I've been meaning to put together a GU deck since those 2 color combos just seem so out of the ordinary. I don't play competitively in tournaments or anything, so this is purely for fun with friends. Although that doesn't mean we don't play with competitive decks either. I should also note that I'm trying to use as little money as possible to achieve this theme and deck. -Bladed Pinions to help my infectors with evasion. Debating if I should go 1 mana more for Cloak instead. (EDIT: Went with canopy cover instead, as its more efficient. Thanks to darktryst for the suggestion.) -Negates and Fuels to prevent wipes. Even though Fuel is more costly, its also more versatile and fits in with the proliferate theme. -Distortion Strike... self explanatory especially if I can pull it off with Hydra and Putrefax. Delicious. -Corpse Cur to return used up putrefax's and/or hydras. -1 Garruk... well cuz I have one but no deck to really make the most use out of him, and I don't feel like buying more. -Trigon to make use of the proliferating and fit with the infect theme, though it may prove to be too slow and costly. I was debating if I should take out some cards to make room for anti-removal (Turn Aside and Vines). I'll probably be facing removal more commonly but many of the decks I go up against with my friends tend to have both removal and wipes too (those control freaks). And yes I know it barely barely has any removals, but such is the fate of these two colors.

How about substituting Canopy Cover for your Pinions. not only will you get evasion, you will get troll-shroud as well, which would keep your infector alive longer. On top of that, enchantments are generally harder to get rid off then artifacts, specially in this block.

Thats true, I forgot all about canopy cover. Generally I don't like playing enchantments but with all the artifact hate and high efficiency of canopy cover, it would make for a better solution. Thanks!
