Deck Description

Using the humans in Black and Red, which are surprisingly good, though not as numerous as White or Green, to turn use Falkenrath aristocrat to it's fullest.

Alternate plan in Skirsdag High Priest, since morbid should be relatively easy to turn on.

Another alternate plan is to have Village cannibals/falkenrath torturer get arbitrarily large and swing in.

still needs work.

Deck discussion for BR Humans

might want to splash for white to get some prime human targets, champion of the parish, doomed traveller, call of the townsfolk. i think evolving wilds helps with the spread of the mana base. you could go the opposite and just go BW splash red or RW splash black. otherwise, i love the creativity of the deck, but i'm wondering if falkenrath aristocrat is worth building a deck around it.

I definitely thought about splashing white, but then I realized that it would just be stronger to use all of the white humans with finishers like Hero of Bladehold rather than any of the Black or Red ones. The point of this deck was to streamline BR to utilize the aristocrat to its fullest, since an indestructible 5 or 6 power flyer is a beating.

I do have a BRW Reanimator deck where the mana works out, but the reliance on all three colors is less than it would be in this case where I need to be able to hit all my colors by turn three.

Thanks for the input. I may try BW splash red since that would work as well and I could easily get the one red off of clifftop retreat or blackcleave cliffs.

I would either splash white for cards like Gather the Townsfolk and other human generators to feed SHP and FA, or make this more of a vampire deck, with guys like Stromkirk Noble and captain.

I would go white, but in that case I would rather just go the predominantly white humans route for the deck, since I think in that sort of shell, hero of bladehold would be stronger than the aristocrat and easier to cast.

Also, I don't think I could do a vampire deck justice in this format. I would like to see how fast I could get vampires in modern, however, where I would have access to all of the vamps from Zendikar.

Understandable on both counts. I would still maybe get a few bloodline keepers. Tokens can be sac'd if you start running out of humans, or just swarm with them/tap them for the Priest. I do really like that mana curve, though.
