Deck discussion for Flare Barbs

Do they Combo? The Mana Flare and Manabarbs? Not sure if it would.

I like Shivan Hellkite...you are running the Dragon. I always preferred the Hellkite because, maybe because I didn't build good decks, had extra mana and no cards to play in the late game of the stage. I found myself having lots of lands that I could not use. Pinging off their creatures or doing direct damage directly to them...I always preferred the option of being able to do direct damage to their creatures. With Shivan Hellkite you could ping off all their little blockers, then swing with all of your other creatures next.

Also, since you are going to be taking damage from Manabarbs I would add at least one more mana producing creature: Utopia Tree or BIrds of Paradise.

And put your dual land into the deck and out of the Sideboard. It is a good card!

I like the deck.

And, out of curiosity, why 45 cards?

Hey, Jessie Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I love Mana flare, the cards amazing. I'm actually not finished making the deck, I just had to leave my house before it was finished. But yeah, that was the plan, I was going to add a few more mana producing creatures to avoid mana barbs, and no, they aren't supposed to combo. I just think It'd be handy. Mana flare first, get my cards out and then barbs out when I've got enough mana-makers, flare being there to pressure my opponent and hopefully dealing some damage. I'm going to edit this more than once (I'm actually surprised this got published, I normally keep decks private until I'm 100% ._. )

I considered Hellkite btw, but the reason I went with the dragon was because his ability only needs 1 red, meaning I can siphon off any unused mana into him to avoid mana flares burn. Same thing with the Dragon Whelps. Hellkite is pretty badass though, and I totally get what you mean, so I'll probably end up adding one or two.

lol and the dual land in my sideboard was an accident, thanks.
