I think of this as a midrange aggro deck instead of a true and focused combo deck. Ideally you drop a Fabled Passage, tapped Overgrown Tomb or tapped Woodland Cemetery turn 1 (notice the lack of one drops). Turn two cast either a Sylvan Caryatid into a turn three Questing Beast or Nullhide Ferox or a turn three digging spell into a Soul Flayer. Sometimes just getting out multiple Soul Flayers at two mana a pop with even only a couple abilities each can add enough aggression to the board; however you ideally want hexproof and/or indestructible on them if at all possible. Another thing I like about this version is that everything but the Zetalpas are castable (I often get a turn four Samut off a Sylvan Caryatid). This is only one reason why Chromanticore is entirely gone from this build; another reason for the lack of Chromanticore is the a noticeable absence of Traverse the Ulvenwald. Since this deck is more midrange, it supports more variety of threats and doesn’t need to search out the combo (this lack of need for delerium also opened up more building space). This build is very consistent compared with more red-heavy concepts like those with Bomat Courier I have found, which tend to be more combo-focused but not necessarily any more explosive (and much less consistent). This build can regularly get a turn three stacked Flayer out too!
