Deck Description

Sorin Markov, the vampire lord of Innistrad. The vampires and spells of MTG are based around the thirst of vampires. So, use some "they lose, you gain" spells, and you have a Sorin deck!

Deck discussion for Sorin's Vengeance

Apart from the flavor, I see no reason for the Elixir of Immortality. It could help getting the combo with Exquisite blood and Sanguine Bond started, but then again, you have a lot of other possibilities to do that.

I like having it there for the recycling of my graveyard. You know what control decks are like, right?

Yeah, I do, but I'd sideboard it then. ^^ I used to think the same thing, mainly because I often faced control/mill decks.

So, any substitution ideas?

I'd go for Victim of Night, Doom Blade or Murder for some more Control in the deck. If none of the are to your liking, maybe Gatekeeper of Malakir could work out. I've always loved the flavor of that card.
It's however true, that one can recycle his/her deck with it effectively with some drawpower atleast and if you really want it in there Sign in Blood would support it nicely. You've got loads of ligegain, so the 2 life lost through Sign in Blood wouldn't hurt you.
