Deck Description

I got bored and had a spare Rakdos, Lord of Riots at home and came to the conclusion that he would hamke a great commander. Using what spare cards I had at home, this is what I came up with.

This is still a work in progress, to an extent. At the moment, it works very well

How to Play

Play very aggressively and take out all of your opponents creatures. Wipe out the board your opponent controls and hit them with anything you have. It is surprisingly easy to summon Rakdos in here using both creatures and planeswalkers

Deck discussion for Awakening of Rakdos EDH

Looking good.
I would just have abused Rakdos with Bloodthirst. Rakdos seems like a natural solution to Bloodthirst problems.
Hmmm... That gave me a great idea... Mind if I create Rakdos based EDH today around Bloodthirst?

Funny, I made a Rakdos Commander deck a while back, exploiting his ability to summon humongous creatures with crazy abilities. It didn't take off the way I wanted it to, though, so I deleted it.

However, suggestions: Goblin Fireslinger, Tormented Soul, Razortip Whip, Lobber Crew, Vulshok Sorcerer and the likes are all great (ànd cheap) cards to get damage in on turn 4 and summon Rakdos. Then summon crazy-ass creatures like Myogin of Infinite Rage, Sheoldred Whispering One, Bearer of the Heavens and stuff like that :-) Loads of fun!

I would use them if I had them...
I have Tormented Soul, Razortip Whip and Lobber Crew but they didn't make the cut

Really? But Tormented Soul and Lobber Crew are a guaranteed hit, whereas a deathtouch creature or an unleashed toughie can still be blocked. Keep in mind that your opponent knows you've got Rakdos standing in line to be summoned, and he doésn't want that to happen.

Now that I think about it, I had my Tormented Souls in another deck and I may have brushed past Lobber Crew...
My thorough searching for cards was mainly in my non-standard section. What should I take out then?

Bloodhunter Bat and Splatter Thug, anything that has a chance of being blocked. I'd keep the deathtouches, they remain hand for blocking and threat. No? :-)

Splatter Thug is a heavier hitter in the deck. That and Unleash works with Exava.
I wanted most of the unleash cards that I know and love in here but I ran out of most of them and what's in here are the ones that weren't in my current Rakdos deck

Bloodhunter and Nyxborn are out, Tormented Soul and Lober Crew are in. All I have to do now is remember when I get home to swap them....

Try to make the deck smaller.

(Not meaning to sound like an asshole)
Ok... Make a deck that has specific card number and colour limits smaller because 76 card commander decks are the best.

Commander is a 100 card deck: 99 cards mainboard + 1 commander
