Normally the Goats appear at about turn 5 IF I have Trading Post in my opening hand, enough mana........ The usual stuff. After that though, the deck is hard to stop

I hadn't considered Altar's Reap or any draw really. Although it does seem like a good SB car for here

I already had some Growing Ranks at home and they seemed good because I didn't need any mana to get more tokens. If they have artifact removal/tapdown then Growing Ranks will keep on making them for me

This looks pretty decent. The only thing that I can really say is swap out Squirrel Nest for something like Growing Ranks to make it modern legal. Growing Ranks also lets you make tokens every turn

While the creatures are cheap, they are by no means "little" for what they are. Each creature is swinging for at least 2 damage individually with about 10 burn spells backing them up.....
That was probably to make up for the fact that I only really play about 20 creatures

Say, is it fair to call a deck Aggro even if you're playing 22 creatures?
I believe so but my brother doesn't and says you need more than 24 for it to be aggro...
From what I see, all aggro decks need are to be really fast! What do you guys thinks?

P.S. Newer players, don't be afraid to bend the rules of deck building: Think differently and come up with a new idea. This is what I base most of my deck building around and it works. Play around with interesting concepts and strategies as much as possible until you find your style.
I work with unusual strategies (Like using Possibility Storm to get out the biggest creatures in the game for free + the 5 mana for Possibility Storm... OR making a deck based around 0/1 Goat tokens). Then I play with about 20 creatures in the deck and the rest is removal or strategy assist, where most people have 6 removal cards I will have 8-10 [at least] with about 22-24 lands

Control is one of the hardest playstyles to get right. Especially when you're just beginning. Life gain can be the same, but they all follow the same protocols so if you can find some tourney players and ask for some advice on them, then that would boost your playing in a way

When my Rakdos deck was in standard, it was one of the best deck that I'd ever built. It even went 3-3 against a pro's modern burn deck. I won almost every game with it and it was terrific.

Kazzong, I also share your pain with versing life gaining decks. They're what made me play infect since I couldn't get rid of their life fast enough. Now my brother calls me a coward and a pussy for "not using a 'real' deck". He can just fuck off.

Here's a crazy idea... Why don't we each make a deck and put it on the hot page each???
I'll recreate my Goat token deck on here and send you all the link and we can do the same so there are more respectable decks on the hot page!

His deck was alright. I made my own version with his permission as a way to make just about any Sorin shine, which isn't hard in most decks. If you can, tell him that I made my version and send him the link, I'd like to see what he thinks

That deck is probably some of my best work. I'm actually trying to build it now too since it looks so good and people love it.
Still, even when I was new(ish) to Vault, I would see deck on the hot page and be thinking "How did this crap get on the hot page?" with some of the more professional decks but its just rediculous now

The amount of times that I believe that I have made a deck on here that would smash most decks in sight, it just goes on by ignored. The best example of this would have to be my Goat deck, based around Trading Post and making 0/1 Goat tokens. People laugh at the idea.... then verse it... then say how well it works. On here? NOTHING!!! The only "real" deck that I have seen on the hot page in I dunno how long would be my "Bounce, Bounce, Emrakul" deck which recieved huge attention (No offence to NorthernWarlord or any other budget builders). And most of the forum decks are alright for maybe a week and then just get really annoying after the spam that doesn't involve you

Why can't we make the hot page just for really good decks again?...

Make it Über-budget:
4 Reliquary Tower
Rest of lands are evenly distributed between Swamps and Islands!

It's ok. A common mistake that people make on my decks. I only play standard and modern. I've only ever made 1 vintage/legacy deck
