Deck Description

A Black/White Lifegain and Drain deck.

Deck is good for 1v1 and multiplayer, sideboard depending on what your playing.
Souls of the Faultless is an excellent deterrent in multiplayer games, and a great blocker in 1v1.
Once Cradle of Vitality is out your creatures can become huge very quickly. Use Mourning Thrull to continually pump itself or other creatures.
Circle of Affliction for preservation.
Test of Endurance for quick wins, especially deadly in multiplayer.

Biggest disadvantage is that the deck is slower, but healing salve and life burst should be able to keep you going through the first few turns.

Deck discussion for Life Gain/Drain

A very good deck.

Other creatures worth looking into are Wall of Essence, Wall of Hope and Wall of Reverence.

Que? You still have to pay the X mana for bond of agony right? Not just X lives for X damage, that would never be legal, anywhere..

Good call, read the card wrong. You can still pump out good damage with it though.

Where are the "divinity of pride"s? especially since it's a black/white hybrid for 5 mana with an ability to become a 8/8 flying lifelinker if you have 25 or more life...

Anyone know if there is a card, preferably a sorcery or an instant with "you gain life equal to the damage dealt this turn"?

Divinity of Prides are good, but I don't own any so I didn't put them in. If I pick any up they would definitely want to put them in, most likely take out the agent of masks.

the problem with bond of agony is not even the developers can decide on how to rule on this, it's technically an exception to the rules. it's worded poorly as a 1st turn victory, however as soon as you get 10 mana into play game over. a couple dark rituals would help this happen faster, not sure of a white cards that would help.

i'm definitely going to make this one.

The wording isn't THAT poor. The life you pay is in ADDITION to the mana (casting) cost.

soldier>> there is "Tainted Sigil", it works both for damage and loss of life.

I still don't really see the point of Bond of Agony, why not use Consume Spirit or Death Grasp? Sure, damage can be prevented, but if you play a prevention deck, then sideboard the bonds. There are a lot of cards that give you great benefits from a high life total, although most of them are quite expensive to play (something I dislike very much), Serra Avtar with lifelink is funny of course. Celestial Convergence and Æther Snap makes for a nine mana instant (well, almost) win.

Or just put at least one more Test of Endurance into the deck..

Bond with sigil is great. I play mostly free for all multiplayer games so I am often facing 3-4 opponents. Use that with a sigil and cradle and I can pump creatures by ridiculous amounts. In straight 1v1 games they would be sideboarded.

Also, done know why I am getting the multiple posts.

looks decent........drain life would work well here...heroes remembered is sweet for a first turn drop, but it looks like you would live long enough to play it either way. Ajani Goldmane would kick ass here, boon reflection is fun... and please for the sake of the world drop the stupid test of enurance......anything that says you win the game other than you spitting in your opponents face is just silly.
