I have have thought about it and Blood Artist is on a short list of possible additions. However this deck is very aggressive and already creature heavy. I don't know if I have room for a 0/1.

I saw your deck which gave me the idea to begin planning how to upgrade my vampire deck for M13. I didn't realize I copied the deck name *exactly* though. Oops!
yep. I have actually posted a couple of comments over there already. If you look a the deck description, I already plan on including murder, Just can't add it to the deck yet since it is not in the database. I have been running vampires in standard since july 2011 first mono black, then red/black when Innistrad released. It does pretty well in the local FNM tournaments. Here is the current version of the deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=298710
Yes I will miss the Bloodlords if they go out, I am pysched about the return of Vampire Nighthawk though! Best. Vampire. Ever. With a Stromkirk Captain on the board they will be 3/4 Flying, First Strike, Death Touch, Lifelink.
The 4x card rule is not just for tournament play. It is a basic rule of the game casual play or not.
Finally had a chance to put this deck together today. I had to change the Falkenrath Exterminators for Erdwal Rippers since I couldn't find where I put the exterminators!
Thanks for the suggestion, but I think the versetility of Shock as an instant beats out the exile ability of Pillar of Flame. Unless they are playing alot of undying stuff, maybe in the sideboard.
Thanks for the suggestions. I put 2 Havengul Vampires on the list and dropped the Falkenrath Marauders to 2. They wil give me at least at couple of cards at the 4 cost. The Nearhearth Stalkers could be good, but their special ability of undying is completely negated by stacking extra +1/+1 counters on it, which is kind of the point of this deck (curse of stalked prey, rakish heir), so I left them out.
Yes I agree that past in flames should only be 2. In fact that is what I am running so I must have made a couple of mistakes entering the deck, which i did from memory rather than with the decklist in front of me. I will update the list and post some results. Thanks for the comment.
