So Friday was of course FNM which of course means draft; first picks were: Sentinel of the Eternal Watch, Hangarback Walker and Erebos's Titan was in the final pack, Battlefield Forge was passed to me rather nicely, helped since there are lots of good white creatures and burn in limited is always good.I always take Sigil of Valor if I can; which as you can see I did works really well with token generation having a 4/4 Hangarback becoming a 8 creatures with exalted (ok technically not exalted but same effect right?) is not weak at all!Thought about playing Healing Hands 4 life in limited is basically a 1 turn worth of damage and the cantrip to boot, but sorcery speed killed it for me.
Hangarback was obviously one of the best cards of the deck, but only takes second place for the evening, along with Magmatic Insight which never failed me turn 1 even with only 2 land starting hand! The MVP was Call of the Full Moon; unless your opponent has removal available turn 3 or earlier Call of the Full Moon kept getting 8 damage through minimum, the only way someone casts 2 turn 4 is by dropping a pair of bears, and normally they would of cast them before then, and if they hold on to their cards you get free hits in and better mana efficiency; so I would say look out for that card.Only card that didn't really pull their weight was Ravaging Blaze which surprised me, I thought it would be great.
