Rares pulled: Blood-Chin Fanatic, Arashin Foremost, Blessed ReincarnationI got really lucky with my extra rare pulls, I can understand why Blessed Reincarnation got dropped by people it can be a double edged sword granting your opponent a better creature but I couldn't help see exile 2 creatures in limited in a control deck what part of that doesn't sound useful?Radiant Purge wasn't half bad either, couldn't help but think that anyone who pulled a big creature/Dragonlord would be guaranteed to play it so can't why no-one else wanted cheap instant removal for it; but hey I did.As for the extra Daghatar, there was no excuse for why I got that card; splashable 4/4 vigilance for 4 mana in limited heck even if it isn't in colour that's probably the kinda card you hate pick!Dunno how I managed to pull 5 counters either, guess people just don't think Rakashasa's Disdain is worth playing without self mill but it really was my all-star card; after the first two counters people just assumed that was all and it just killed bombs all day long. The moral of the story; don't pass on splashable counters in draft or 2/1's with abilities for 1 mana even if they're off colour..... or any card with CMC 4 or more where it's P/T is equal or more than it's CMC and has abilities attached: they WILL win you games or they WILL come back to lose you games.
Not really that complicated a deck it really was just a case of chucking down a couple creatures early; then remove/counter your opponents threats as appropriate; don't quite know whether it'll be considered Aggro (did get a T5 win in one game!), Control (5 removal 5 counters), who knows. The deck went 2-1 2-1 2-0 ending up 1st; which was nice!
