a leveler deck. not the 10/10 leveler creature, but actual leveling creatures.

+1. Espically like the training grounds with Caravan Escort. turn 1 (island) training grounds turn 2 (plains) Caravan escort. A 5/5 first strike on turn two? Yeah I could live with that

Not possible. The activated abilities can't be made to cost less than 1 mana. So it will get rid of the colorless cost for most of them but still need the color or at least 1 colorless mana. "Rules: Activated abilities of creatures you control cost up to {2} less to activate. This effect can't reduce the amount of mana an ability costs to activate to less than one mana." However it is still a good addition. I like the idea of the deck and was about to make one for myself and seeing your deck I may make some adjustments. Have you thought about Venerated Teacher? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewCard_Popup.aspx?CardName=Venerated%20Teacher&Edition=ROE&Print=1
Yeah the original idea was going to be 4 teachers and 2 venser. Then I would exile teacher each turn for a continual effect. But I dropped them for training grounds and then venser became useless so I added in mana leaks. The proliferation and training grounds I think works the same a teacher plus I get some card advantage. I also thought of a blue/red and doing a splinter twin + venerated teach build. But I wasn't a big fan of red levelers.
There are some pretty good red levelers. I am trying to recall their names but I know one becomes a firebreathing dragon and the either hits the opponents entire field for 6 when they attack.
Though. I am having second thoughts. Training grounds does help out some of the creatures more than others. But I still have to pay at least one mana for each counter. With teacher I get two free counters on each creature regardless of cost. Then a turn 5 venser for repeated effect. I think I might take back out the grounds and two leaks.
Oh really? Still having to pay mana cost for that even though it could possibly be in the negatives... Well that kinda stinks. Never knew that :(
