Deck Description

Aura EDH deck

Magic 2012(online game) released their new decks, and Im in love with the auramancer deck(who isn't though haha), so i wanted to make a beast umbra deck. Unfortunately it wouldn't be played for very long in standard. So I decided to make it into a commander deck, mainly because all of the aura cards are amazing and i couldn't pick which ones. Which brought me to the conclusion why not all of them? and thus this EDH aurmancer deck was born.

I like it, though ive never built an EDH before. The deck focuses on industructables and hexes to foil your opponents attempts destroy and exile your cards that are buffed out with auras. Be careful because they can still target the auras. So far my favorite combo is Stuffy doll with lure attached. Can you say instant death to target player? Though if you're play with multiple opponents, it only works on one player :(. But even after that you will have a wall or you can go in for an attack with a huge creature and send out doll along with so they can't block the massive creature. Or you can use Stuffy doll defensively with pariah. And my second favorite combo is auratouched mage and search for eldrazi conscription. That effectively gives you a 13/13 creature with trample and annihilator 2 for 6 mana!

Deck discussion for Auramancer EDH

It has a surprising good mana curve for going through a list of creatures with hexproof and a list of enchantment auras :) bonus.

I like this deck. It has a good curve like the other post. To answer your question on my deck, Top should be in every EDH deck ever, period, so good job there. also Skullclamp is legal in EDH so no worries there. For this deck I would suggest Greater Auramancy and Sterling Grove which protect your other enchantments, as well as tutors lic Idyllic and Enlightened Tutor. If you don't mind adding a color I would turn this into a Uril deck. It already is built very similarly to one and he's a good multiplayer beatstick General. I may think of something else in the future but for now, that's what I have for you. Good luck.

OH! REMOVAL! Path, Swords, O-Ring, Beast Within, etc. EDH has lots of scary things that you NEED to deal with. These do that for you. ok I'm glad I got that in time.

Thanks for the help. I do already have greater auramancy in here so i guess im good there. As for removal i kinda stuck with enchantments that work similarly to remove. With pacifism, arrest, prison term, and lignify which are all enchantments so i can search them out with certain cards and i can easily retrieve them from my graveyard if need be. Though i should probably add a few more, if anything oblivion ring... haha ill work on the deck and ill probably just post a new version with a red splash for Urill.

How about Day of Judgement or other field wipes. Your often facing many players in edh and removing one creature isn't enough a lot of the times.

I recommend finding a general that better fits the theme of the deck. Try using The Gatherer to look for a general with the colors you need.

I agree with Heliosofcows in that you need a couple mass destruction effects. I like the Hexproof sub-theme I see going on here, I would try to expand on that a bit more if you could. Unfortunately I'm not very well versed in making an Auramancer deck so I can't tell you exact cards that would be good, but my suggestion is use the Gatherer and limit the search as much as possible to what you are looking for.

Okay thanks... I did use gatherer to make this deck, but Rhys was the one that fit the deck the best, unless i add red to it. Which i don't really want to do, but will if its necessary.

And done. I added 3 mass clearing spells.

Sigh... It looks like I'll end up making this an RGW deck. Though i'd rather it stay like this. haha.
