Deck Description

Primalcrux! Go, fight, win!

How to Play

The mana curve is a bit ugly looking, but between the Elves, Garruk, and some Rampant Growths, it shouldn't be too hard to get to 6, where all the best creatures lie; Hydra should never come down for more than 6.
Doubling Season has a few decent applications, Beast Within takes out opposition, and Garruk and the Behemoth finish things up (assuming the other fat tramplers don't do it on their own).

Deck discussion for Chromatic Green

a card i would add would be elvish piper, because if you have so many high mana cost creatures, you can get them out a lot easier and a lot cheaper

If the acceleration I have isn't enough for the steep curve, I'd rather just bring my average cost down. Piper seems to be a card for cheating out Eldrazi, not making sure I can play my 6-drops a turn early. She's good for surprises, or for doing more in a turn, but if she gets Shocked she'll just waste a turn instead.

Rather than rampant growth I would suggest more elf ramp for your deck. priest of titania or elvish arch druid would make it considerably easier to get up to your higher costing cards and give you creatures that pair really well with what you already have.

alright, possibly lightning greaves instead of swiftfoot boots? i understand your point with the piper however. possibly some more land fetch, or like the guy above said, more elf ramp? it would work very well in the deck

This deck has seen some changes upon actually being built. I should probably update it.
I have Boots here because I have a strange preference for newer, toned down versions of cards in my decks. I usually run Mana Leaks instead of Counterspells and Searing Spears instead of Lightning Bolts. So when this card is an obvious update to the Greaves... yeah. Call me crazy.

Anyway, yeah, elf ramp might be a good idea. That would play better with Hydra, Primalcrux, Behemoth, and Garruk than Rampant Growth, anyway.

if you are looking to elf ramp, i would suggest preist of titania, and elvish archdruid to add to the llanowar elves. if you add say three of each, drop a llanowar, the rampant growths, a primalcrux, and the boots to make room.
