Kruphix just seemed like a good fit with all the excess mana. Granted there generals who do this better such as Damia, Sage of Stone, Prime Speaker Zegana, Meloku the Clouded mirror and most notably, Patron of the Moon.
I personally found Kruphix to be a choice for flavour more than anything.

The theme is landfall if that wasn't made clear. The whole point of the deck centres on landfall synergies and 34 of them cost 4 or less. I understand that you might have concerns about the lack of ramp spells in the deck (ie harrow, rampant growth, cultivate etc) but there are 42 lands in the deck, and some of them help thin the deck for more land like thawing glaciers :D

Maybe cut a copy of maze's end and one wayfarer for 2 copies of crackling perimeter? That card would be a great alternate win con in here

Thanks! I was kinda surprised to see that this deck was kinda budget overall. Most of the time a good budget build for under 100 is effective 80-89 percent of the time. The next tier requires over a hundred to about 300 for 90 to 95 % efficiency and so on.

Species Gorger is just asking for abuse with all the etb goodness you've got going on here.

Avacyn, Guardian angel could be a decent include :)

Master Biomancer and Primeval Bounty would be decent inclusions. I have a list for Vorel if for your reference should you need any further guidance :)

And yeah I completely forgot about last stand, it looks like a really sweet card

You could also take out steel wall and one of the divination effects for both mnemonic wall and archaeomancer to put some more utility into the deck :)

Venser's Journal is about 3 to 4 dollars more, but is seems to be a pretty solid addition as you will have many cards in hand and may help stall out stomply/aggressive decks for a bit!

Pretty good budget list! I'm kind of suprised that you don't run more X spells considering your commander, this deck is just begging to abuse gelatinous genesis or gigantomancer :P

Yeah I haven't actually tested it on paper yet and I need to find about half of the cards, but I do have an existing Jarad deck that was just slapped together since I wanted to get my buddy some practice with playing Commander. I've only been playing this format for a few months and I wanted to build something that was kind of toolboxy, plus it's always fun winning the game using a bunch of little dudes as the engine lol

maybe swap out scourgemark for immortal servitude? That might help you get back in the late game if you overextend :)
