Deck Description

So it's been a while since I last played this deck so I don't remember everything about it and what it does. I do know that with Cathar's Crusade things can get out of hand when it comes to +1/+1 counters. And it would seem that when I build the deck I was crazy about blinking creatures. I must have been trying to abuse creating token creatures as well. I don't normally do anything to the sideboard area of the deck except put the general there (ghost council). But this time I decided to put some cards there that I was considering, therefore if anyone wants to tell me my sideboard all stars are actually sideboard slackers please let me know. Or if anyone has any other comment (about the deck) go on ahead and tell me about it.

Deck discussion for ghost council

Obzedat would be a superior general.

Thanks for the comment good sir, the deck does need a shakeup and a modernizing. I still have yet to make a decision about changing the general though ... the cost of obzedat would be one more and would net me one additional life and take away one additional life from an opponent and the newer version has haste. So I guess now that I have written it out the benefit outweighs the cost and prolly should make the change.

=)...if it involves black or blue I stand a good chance of being right. ;)

There are so many working parts to this build, I might just leave it as is. As it stands there are not too many ways to sac a creature and my current gen will allow for me to do just that. Sometimes this deck needs to be able to sac a token to get the gears turning so that something else can happen, like butcher or requiem angel for instance. The deck needs work, I will be the first to admit that but right now I am kinda lazy and do intend to leave it like it is until I get inspired or something.

Deathpact Angel is fun for sacing

If the only point of taking Ghost Council over Obzedat is easy access to a sac engine, I would suggest Teysa, Orzhov Scion. She creates more tokens when black creatures are sac'ed and can exile creatures.

I have access to Teysa, she is in the deck. There is a semi blink theme to the deck which the council used as a gen adds to and that I kinda like.

That's cool, maybe a conjurer's closet to help it out then?
