Deck Description

Stock list for Modern Living End.
Near perfect mana base, very consistent, great deck.
My deck of choice for tournaments both in physical and digital form.

How to Play

As strait forward as a combo deck gets, cycle big creatures into the graveyard, Living End them out.

--Match ups--

Burn:
-2 Fulminator Mage
-1 Jungle Weaver
-1 Beast Within
-1 Street Waith
+2 Jund Charm
+2 Gnaw to the Bone
+1 Shriekmaw
This is a rough match up, and you simply need to race them.
Shriekmaw is for their early a Goblin Guide or Swiftspear. Gnaw to the Bone to gain some life and hope to live 1 or 2 more turns. Jund charm is mainly to instant speed pyroclasm, but sometimes is needed to remove their creatures from the graveyard.

Jund:
-4 Architects of Wills
+2 Faerie Macabre
+2 Shriekmaw
In my experience this feels like a 70/30 in favor of Living End the first game and 50/50 the last two. Fulminator Mages really shine in this match up, and can flat out win the game. I cut Architects of Wills mainly because it dies to bolt, and also it annoyingly makes Tarmogoyfs really big. I bring in Faerie Macabre to help control their graveyard, and Shiekmaws to kill Goyfs and pesky Scavenging Oozes. It's worth noting they might bring in their own Fulminator Mages so it is good to get basics when possible.

Junk:
-4 Architects of Wills
+2 Shriekmaw
+2 Jund Charm
Like Jund, Junk feels like a favorable game one, and 50/50 games two and three. Again, Fulminator Mages are great here. Also like before, Architects of Wills have to go. This time bringing in Shiekmaws for Goyfs and Scoozes, and Jund Charm to help with controlling their graveyard and to kill off lingering soul tokens. Keep in all Beast Withins against Junk, with white comes more options for graveyard hate, and they are never really dead draws.

Affinity:
-1 Jungle Weaver
-1 Pale Recluse
-3 Simian Spirt Guide
-2 Fulminator Mage
+4 Ingot Chewer
+1 Gnaw to the Bone
+2 Jund Charms
I feel this match has a 50/50 outcome first game and 60/40 in favor of Living End games two and three. Not sure if that is right but that's how it feels, it mainly depends on the build of affinity. Anyway, slow cycling spiders come out for Jund Charm's pyroclasm mode. Simian Spirit Guides and two Fulminator Mages come out for Ingot Chewers and a Gnaw to the Bone to help race non-infect damage. Ricochet Trap in some numbers might be correct here too, some affinity decks have counter spells in their sideboard.

Tron:
-2 Demonic Dread
-1 Jungle Weaver
+3 Ingot Chewer
I'll admit, I don't have a lot of experience playing against Tron. And the times I have didn't go all that well. Tron being one of the decks with main board graveyard hate is quite annoying. Here I take out two Demonic Dreads because they can easily win with out ever playing a creature to target. And again take out one of the slow cycling spiders all to add a few Ingot Chewers. I feel Beast Within and Fulminator Mages are without question the best cards in this match up.

Splinter Twin:
-1 Jungle Weaver
-2 Demonic Dread
+3 Ricochet Trap
Playing against Twin with Living End is a waiting game. You want to only really go for the win at the end of their turn. You need to leave up 3+ mana to threaten a Beast Within or Violent Outburst. Fulminator Mage on turn three when your on the play is safe(assuming they have a l non-basic to destroy). Either they spend mana to counter it leaving them unable to combo next turn, or it hits play and is able to keep them off the two red and/or forth land. The longer the game goes the less likely Living End will win. So, side board is short and sweet, cut Dreads which won't have a target early and a slow cycling spider. Bringing in Ricochet Trap to help combat counters. When your Living Ends get Remanded be sure to use the Ricochet Trap correctly, you target remand with the trap and then change the Remand's target to the trap. This way the Ricochet Trap resolves and the Remand is left without a target on the stack causing it to fizzle denying them the card draw.
