The triggered ability of an illusion such as Phantasmal Bear triggers when the target is declared, but does not go on to the stack until after the spell resolves. So, when you redirect the spell with Ricochet Trap, the original spell still resolves and because your illusion was, at one point, a target it's trigger goes on to the stack. However, if you counter the spell, it is like the spell never happened, except for still paying the mana for it. To counter a spell or ability means to cancel it, removing it from the stack. It doesnt resolve and none of its effects occur. A countered spell is put into its owners graveyard. None of it's effects, including triggers from targeting, would have ever happened
dipserses return target permanent to owners hand. And a lot of people i know play extended so they have old school cards that search for target artifacts in opponents deck.
a lot of people would search my library for my wurmcoils so i would also disperse them back to my hand
dispers bounces target nonland permanent to hand i usually use it on enchantments that u couldnt counter or to save creatures like lord of the unreal
zandikar will no longer be standard. replace pierces with negates and drop 2 phantasmal dragons their too of a high caster. replace with cryptoplasm since your running grand arch
hmm good idea. I usually get the wurmcoils but that would help a lot. if i am to get rid of something probably the phantasmal dragons...
