Great deck for just using Eventide cards. Well done.

The only thing you are missing is Evershrikes (my favorite Eventide card, along with Balefire Liege). I have decks built around both, if you care! hehe.

FoD is a nice card, but it's very overpriced at the moment. I just don't have the money for them. This deck will run well without them IMO.

Thanks for the comments!

I really like this deck. If your opponent is playing a creature heavy deck, he can say g'night. Good balance.

Thanks for the comment. WoG actually works pretty well in here because the creatures are either disposable or durable. Although, I'd be willing to switch it out for maybe...Oblivion Rings? Maybe sideboard the WoGs?

Thanks for the comment triplectz,

I think you may be right about the slam dunk. Now that I think about it, with a Balefire out...even if I cast a 0-point blaze..that's still 3.

Tweaked it a bit. :)

Wow I really like this deck. Gift of the Deity, while expensive to cast, is a homerun card if you can get it on a green creature.

Thumbs up!

This deck looks great on paper. I sure wouldn't want to play against it...unless of course I was playing my "Everwrath" deck! (check it out). My only suggestion, since you are using mass removal, is to take a look at Evershrikes. With Edge of the Divinity, it's a nice little combo after a Wrath of God. Good job.

I love the name of your deck by the way. Good stuff.

Seems like this deck relies completely on Balefire being out to have any chance as well. :)

The primary damage of this deck is not creatures, it is casting spells as 3 damage nukes to my opponent. The creatures, if they are out and survive, are just gravy and protection for me.

Grinning Ignus, for example, is in there only for extra mana generation. It comes back to my hand, then use the mana it gives me to cast Pyroclasm? Puncture Blast? Browbeat? Aether Membrane? and those are all 3 damage to my opponent. Grinning comes back out next turn for, yep you guessed it: 3 more!

I agree, the pyroclasm would kill the rise of the hobs and the hearthfires...unless Balefire was out. The +2/+2 my creatures are given from him being on the table would let all my creatures survive it. I was thinking about this, and I'll have to play it to see how it runs a dozen times or so...but I may swap them out for Fire At Will.

Wel'll see.

As to the Lightning Helix: I would love to use them, but I'm trying to keep this Type 2.

I like it!

I'm a type 1.5 man myself usually, but I've been trying to build some Type 2's. This is a great usage of Black/White. Souls of the Faultless is an incredible wall. Nice job. I think this would hold up well to anything except permission (which will ruin almost anyone's fun).

Going to have to disagree with you ILoveGoblins

Flame Jabs, with Balefire Liege out, can do 8 damage for 2 mana. I'm not sure how that's a bad thing. Browbeats, again with Balefire out, are a guaranteed 3 damage...and I doubt my opponent is going to take another 5 on top of that, so I'll most likely be drawing 3. The reason there are Plains in there is so I can access the sideboard's Dawn charms, but you are right...so I took the number of them down. Thanks. :)

Hey there. Thanks for the tip. That upwelling card is very interesting. I've been going through and updating my decks (I haven't played since Onslaught), so any suggestions are welcome. I may just test that out. :)

Nice Deck. Suggestion for you. Instead of Heaven's Gate, check out Celestial Dawn. It might be what you are looking for.

Take care.

I agree, but with these new cards like Resize and Brute Force, Bloodlust got the axe.

Thanks guys!

I always love to hear feedback on my decks. I haven't played since Onslaught, so I've been playing a severe game of catch-up. I'm just trying to update my old decks with new cards. Since this is my first one posted here, i'm glad you guys gave your input. I'll check those cards out.
