I agree, cut Tiblat. Super bad planeswalker and I have no clue why anyone would run it outside of a madness deck.
You want to remove the guildgates and replace them with fetch lands and add in the shock lands.

Oh we know it's not perfect, he literally thought of this and built it within 5 minutes. I just challenged him to make Tibalt work outside of madness.

The problem is that he discards at random. So less cards you have in your hand the worse it gets. That's the big mistake with him.

I'm definitely open for suggestions, but sadly I can't remove Tibalt. He was in the bet to make work and I believe I did okay with it. ^_^ I'll throw in the fetch lands and consider the shock lands. What would be the best reason to have the shock lands?

They can come into play tapped or untapped for 2 life. With fetxh lands you can grab them instead of a basic land (very useful for mana fixing sense they tap for one or the other color).

Despite the way it looks with the deck costing $200+, I'm slightly worried over the price going up a ton. Would it be extremely beneficial to do it? o.o (I don't typically use fetch or shock lands)

If you are just playing casual then its up to you how much you want to spend on this deck. If you at some point want to bring this to a local tourney then speed will be key and those cards should be a must. I also suggest them because the fetch lands have been reprinted and the shock lands have just recently went out of standard. Everything is fairly cheap compared to what it was before reprints.

I added in the fetch and shock lands. It made my modern tag go away though because the dumb legality hasn't been updated. >.<

RolledAOne, somebody keeps -1ing your comments. I'm upvoting them to keep them balanced because they aren't downvote worthy, your stating things that can help.

I don't understand why they would downvote you. You're offering helpful advice.

Thanks man, at the time of me posting to cut Tibalt I didn't know this was because of bet. Honestly Tibalt is arguably the worst walker printed. I just pointed that out and gave advice on how to improve the deck for modern.

You could also run Bloodchief Ascension. You seem to have some ways to deal damage. With other players most likely playing shock lands also you could get a free counter or two early.

I never thought of shocklands counting towards BCA. Never would have thought of that one. Thanks!

I think this deck works really well, alot of low CMC cards for quick flow however the guildgates should be replaced and Tibalt acutally works to your advantage in this deck. IT WORKS!!!. As long as Liliana's Caress and Underworld Dreams are in play the deck synergy is pretty good.

Thank you very much for the compliments! I made from a bet that MTGEl33t put me up to and I believe I did pretty well with it. :)

This deck is actually really intuitive! I hope that some day I can be as good as you in creating decks!

Would it really be necessary considering I only have 4 goblins, with the mindset that I'd remove Rummaging Goblin? o.o

I don't think Vexing devil is very good in this deck, it gives your the opponent a choice which in my opinion is not a good thing. He is better used in a deck with Grim Lavamancer where you can benefit from him being in your graveyard. You should replace with 3 Waste Not for added benefit to your opponent discarding. As well I will say that you Do need Blood Stained Mire fetch lands and 4 Blood Crypts. You have to many cards with double color needs in the mana cost, like 2 red or even for black in the case of underworld dreams. Modern is a very fast meta where you can not afford to loose a drop due to not having the proper mana. As well Tibalt and is only needed for your bet. lol

I fully agree with the lands, and I'm open to suggestions. I'm probably going to add in shock lands or something. I like vexing because it's a 1 drop with great pressure and will make it easier to transition to all of my bigger casts.

Added in the shock and fetch lands.

?, Have you thought of splashing blue? Then new draw cards that allow you to exile cards in your yard to cast might fit in here rather well.

I've considered, but in the end I decided to just stick to Rakdos. At this point, I'd have to remake the deck if I put blue into it.

Waste Not does stuff!

You seem to be kinda casual? It's a fun 1 of in a deck like this! Especially if Lilly's Caress is on the field, you'll make your opponent make some choices.
You want Blightning to read like this...
SUPER BLIGHTNING 1BR
Target player takes 7 damage and discards two cards
Draw two cards.

And like, Waste Not and Burning Inquiry?

Also this is kinda a ton of money for a really weird idea... I wish I had sets of fetch lands and shock lands that weren't already in decks... :P

Also Lillianas of the Veils. :c

I most certainly am casual. ^_^ The fetch and shock lands are just suggestions. I can almost 100% ensure that this deck would be fine with basic lands or even guildgates in casual play. Lilliana is only in here because of her +1. You could take her out, too. :D

This deck seriously impressed me and I'm not easily impressed. Unsure how GOOD tibalt is compared to other cards here but he's deffinently not a "waste of space" in the deck, which I've only ever seen happen once ever before. Seriously well done!

Thank you very much! The original deck had about 10 minutes of thought and through the help of the community I've created something very unique and interesting! :-)

This deck is very well thought, but you might want to add more goblins because you are using sensation gorger.

Bloodhusk Ritualist, Sangromancer are shaman's so they would trigger Sensation Gorger and they could both fit into the deck. I still don't like Vexing Devil in here. :)

I do appreciate the Liliana's Caress+Underworld Dreams+Reforge the Soul combo, all in all looks pretty fun, but not so focused around Tibalt in some places. I too made a Tibalt deck, thoughts? http://www.mtgvault.com/deidrick/decks/tibbs/
