Hi. I like Grixis Control decks so i tried to make one on my own. This is a deck im actually building IRL as i usually play it on MWS and its functional and fun to play. Any suggestion is welcome, as i would like to improve this deck to reach a somewhat-competitive level
Deck Instructions- Keep your mana open, use it to counter opponent spells or to draw cards with Think Twice (use it on End Phases only)- Use Damnation and Read the Bones only as a last resort or when you feel in advantage- Aim to close the game with Desecration Demon but if opponent uses removal, aim to use Cruel Ultimatum/Nicol Bolas as your finishers- If you think opponent has a creature removal, play Desecration Demon with 6 lands (keep 2 mana open for a Countersquall). Otherwise, play it with 4 lands- Use Snapcaster Mage to use counters on your graveyard. Always play it as a flashSideboard Inscructions- Vs Aggro decks : use Pyroclasm as a Countersquall replacement vs Aggro decks for a more board control- Vs Blue Control decks : use Boil and Counterflux as a Lightning Bolt and 3x Terminate replacements (this aims to burn most of opponent blue mana, but keep in mind you have islands as well, so you need to put enough black and red lands to claim mana advantage)- Vs Urzatron decks : use Slaughter Games and Sowing Salt as Countersquall and Lightning Bolt replacements. Remove their best cards (usually Emrakul and Urza's Tower) and try to finish game before they could recover
