Deck Description

Kitsune deck built around protection, damage prevention and life gain.

I like the idea of building a theme deck around small creatures taking on larger ones. Damage prevention is key at the beginning of the game with this deck. "Eight-And-A-Half-Tails" is the golden protection card but I decided to try and prevent the use of multiple legendary creature cards of the same name due to the possibility of drawing them twice in one game and not being able to play it.. "Sudden Disappearance" wipes out tokens and positive counters making this deck useful in longer multiplayer matches but it should excel in 1v1.

Update:

This deck has proven itself to be amazingly powerful against creature focus decks in multiplayer. If your sneaky then simply get a few kitsune healers out to prevent damage early on and then use "hold the line" to wipe out aggressive players who think they can overrun your friendly fox clerics. I also find myself frequently using "bushi tenderfoot" by making him part of the defence team and preventing damage to him. Once he flips over then attach "armored ascension" to him and you will easily have him dealing 14+ damage to a player with his "double strike" and "flying" ability.

For those who are wondering, "samurai of the pale curtain" exiles any permanents that would go to the graveyard, which includes the owner. The reason why "Elixir of Immortality" is in the deck, is to allow the useful healing/defensive spells to be recycled under better odds in long games. This deck is not designed to recycle creatures from a graveyard (this is just in case some of you have picked up on this little peculiarity). "Elixir of Immortality" also adds a defense against milling.

Edited in order to add 1 x "Rest for the Weary"; 1 x "Oblivion Ring" and 3 x "plains". The deck was running slightly starved in some cases so i decided to make it a 65 card deck :)

I want someone to make an EDH deck out of Rune-Tail and filled with Fox cards.
