Deck Description

Crazy? I was crazy once.
They locked me in a room.
A rubber room.
A rubber room with rats.
And rats make me crazy.

In all seriousness, I am trying to make an actually somewhat competitive modern deck by literally hurtling as many rats as I can muster at my opponent. This deck will need a lot of work to get right, especially a sideboard, but that's why I'm posting this deck as public.

How to Play

Play rats, attack with rats. Win with rats. Make your opponent go crazy because of all the rats.
Crazy? I was crazy once.

Deck discussion for Rats Make Me Crazy

If you're gonna run fetch lands and deathtouch creatures then Fatal Push is probably gonna be better than Mirrodin Avenged. Plus by not running the latter you don't have to keep getting reminded of one of the most butchered storylines WotZy ever shat out their greedy asses.

Mate, I am what people could classify as a Phyrexian simp, and I am more disappointed than anyone else at what happened.

As for why I thought of using Mirrodin over Fatal is that Mirrodin draws me a card, and that's the one most fatal flaw I see with this deck, and that's just spewing out a hand and playing the topdeck game. It is also why I have Stronghold Arena in here, and I would have run Dark Tutelage instead because that's just do it in upkeep, but is a 3-drop and so I believe too slow for this type of deck.
That being said, I think it's still a good idea for the sideboard!

Okiba Reckoner doesn't seem like it has enough value for a spot in competitive. I have no idea what you'd swap in for it, as you want to keep the curve low and there aren't that many good 1-drop rats, but I can't see it holding up that well. Maybe Aether Vial?

Get it up to two counters, since just about all the creatures are 2's
Play them at instant speed at the end of the opponent's turn.

Could work!

Helps with the low land count too, and gets around counterspells. Your discard rats could be used as turn disruption as well, so that's nice. I'm liking it the more I think about it.
