provided you have the capability to continue casting needed spells while hitting anyone with LD... I would have been happier with Ghost Quarter(given it wasn't a re-print) if it brought the land into play tapped

In all the years I've been playing(more than I care to admit) I don't think I've seen a deck quite this good at melding into a format and completely decimating it. My hat is off to you Ethan for a build that is "jaw-dropping" impressive. Having said that; I'm now determined to find a way to disrupt this without the mirror match. I've never been a fan of blue or control. I've always hated playing against it for too many reasons. I enjoy the challenge of finding a way to beat what I consider to be the hardest deck(s). Those are control decks if you(the person reading this who may/may not be Ethan...)didn't follow what I meant. You say you don't like POD for their ability to quickly jump out there and smash someone in the face but control decks are built to not like anyone doing anything they don't specifically want them to do. B-) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=235021 ^ is my POD deck. I haven't figured out a sideboard for control yet but I do have fun with most other types of decks. You, sir, have given me a great example for a deck to beat. I know the "other" kids in color pool can play with U/W control. I just haven't figured out how yet... /gauntlet down
I would attempt to put a little more land in(maybe in place of the elixirs). I drew some sample hands from this deck and didn't like the way it drew out. Maybe it is just random shenanigans from the RNG? If you had more draw(ponder, gitaxian probe, Tezzeret's gambit) then you could possibly run only 20 land. I mentioned Tezzeret's for the added proliferate. That would make the quest a little easier to pump up to 5 counters. Anywho, just some 2 cents.
I love this! I've always been a huge fan of "creature less" decks that make opponents just go "O.o?! WTF". B/R Discard Burn has been my "go to" deck for years(even though it did run Hippy...) and this just goes right along with that same idea. Time to sort through all the old boxes and see what I'm missing for this one.
Maybe it's just me but infinite combos have always been a bit cheap(IE: bloodcrank)...
