Deck Description

Challenge to set up the Main win condition of Near-Death Experience
http://forums.mtgvault.com/showthread.php?t=1412

This deck is intended to slowly bleed away your life with little concern for what your opponent is doing.

The key to sucess is getting the Platinum Angel/Eternity Vessel combo out early. As long as you cast EV with + life you can take your time setting up the win condition. There are plenty of fetch lands to ensure landfall (you can sit on your Esper Panorama to use as colorless until you need the landfall trigger). Once N-D is ready to go, the easiest way to get your life total to 1 is Pestilence Demon. Back ups are contaminated ground, vendetta, and sign in blood. Sign is the only one that can't be used on his turn.

Other tricks. You can O ring your Eternity Vessel if you don't have your N-D out and burn yourself to 1 and then demystify it. Then with your angel up you can safely drop below 1 life and wait with a fetch land ready for N-D to rear its ugly head.

Having typed this you would probably have to play 10 games to see this work once... But that's who Johnny is right?

Not only that, you mention the you can o-ring the eternity vessel. But it really doesn't matter. Eternity Vessel is a "may" ability, so you don't have to reset your life total.

fixed not sure why i didnt have it in there... and to answer your question. You ORing the EV to reset the counters... If for some reason you don't have Near death out but you have an Platinum Angel out you can ORing your vessel and burn yourself to one and get rid of the ORing to get the 1 counter so you can use a fetch to reset your life once you get near death out!
